Minghao sat in front of the mirror, preparing for his last show with Jun. He took a deep breath and continued to fix his hair until Jun barged in the dressing room.
"Hello." Jun greeted, patting Minghao's shoulder twice. In return, the younger glared at him. "You're late." he spoke calmly. "Traffic." Jun responded as he places his duffel bag on the other table.
Minghao huffed and continued to fix his hair. Jun noticed the younger's annoyed aura. "Aw, turn that frown upside down. It's our last show right." he chirped.
Minghao looked at Jun in irritation and snapped "Just hurry up."
"Just hurry up, just hurry up, okay okay." Jun mimicked. He took his costume from his bag and went behind the divider.
The younger couldn't help but think of the past events between them.
*flashback*
"Mr. Xu, you want to say something?"
"Yes Mr. Kim. I would want to split up with Junhao."
Mr. Kim looked at him with astonishment and asked "Is there a reason why, Mr. Xu?" "I-I just don't feel it sir. I have this urge to not work with him as my partner anymore." Minghao reasoned.
The director let out a cough, removed his glasses, and placed it on the table. "If that's so, then our current show will serve as your last show instead." he spoke.
Minghao nodded and thanked the director. He left the office, a smile plastered on his face, but there's a heavy feeling stuck inside him.
*end of flashback*
Jun sat in front of the mirror and pulled out a hair wax. He applied some of it to his hair and glanced at Minghao, who kept on putting out a smile in front of the mirror. "Geez, stop doing that, you probably look like an idiot." Jun scoffed. Minghao rolled his eyes and stood up from his seat. "Glad you agreed." he muttered.
"Agreed to what?"
Minghao was dumbfounded. "To split up, duh!" he fumed. "Anyways, hurry the fuck up." he added.
Jun let out a chuckle. "I agreed because I couldn't handle your big, fat ego. But, remember what I said to you?"
The younger stared at him with eyes of fury. "Wen.Jun.Hui." he began.
Then, someone shouted something "Ten minutes to showtime."
Minghao immediately left the room, leaving Jun smirking to himself. He didn't know why provoking his best friend—scratch that—ex-best friend felt satisfying but at the same time, it isn't.
Behind the curtains, Minghao took a deep breath in order for him to not be nervous. He felt heavy footsteps approaching. "Ready for our last show?" Jun asked, eyes on him.
Minghao didn't spare a glance nor respond. His eyes looked straight to the front with a smile. Jun, receiving no reply from the other, shrugged it off. The curtains open and they were welcomed by bright lights.
They simultaneously walked to the stage and held the red silk hanging from above. The music began to play...
*flashback*
After the practice session, Jun ran to Minghao and back hugged him. "Ey, Haohao.""Hmm?"
"Should we grab some dumplings on our way home?"
"Yeah sure."
They arrived at the locker room and began to dress in their casual clothes. "I'm so fucking nervous tomorrow." Minghao whined. "Don't be, you're used to do dangerous stunts, er, moves, ugh! You'll be fine." Jun reassured.
