Preface

Thank you for your interest in this Star Wars fanfiction novel!  As an avid Star Wars fan, I felt the need to fill in a large gap within the story, that of Maul's exile on Malachor. Taking inspiration from Drew Karpyshyn's "Bane" series, I wanted to blend both the known Disney-canon and Old Republic stories in a way that doesn't conflict with what Disney has revealed thus far. The idea of Malachor in Rebels was amazingly eye-opening and showed that some aspects of the Old Republic have seeped into the Disney-canon. 

This story also follows along with what was revealed in the comic Star Wars: Darth Maul by Cullen Bunn, and many main characters are originally from that story, which I recommend greatly to those wanting more information on the depth of Maul's past.  The story also eventually coincides with the cartoon Star Wars: Rebels, going into further depth into the characters' inner thoughts and desires. I hope you enjoy the story!
