Dom POV

The movie ended and I sighed in relief as the credits rolled. I turned my head to ask Reva if she liked it but found her fast asleep. Her brown hair was splayed across my chest. Sometime during the movie we had changed positions so that we were lying down. I allowed my gaze to travel through the dips and hills of her face. She looked so peaceful when she was asleep. The ever present scowl on her pink lips was gone she was more relaxed than I had ever seen her. Even when she laughed I could see the sadness in her. Something happened to her. Something so terrible that it caused her enough pain to attempt to end her life. I frown, my arms tightening around her at the thought. I wish I could help her out of this dark place, but I have no idea how. For now giving her a home will have to be enough.

Reva POV

I woke up slowly in a cocoon of warmth. At first I tensed up, my natural reaction to anything out of the ordinary, but I soon relaxed again. It was actually very nice. I sighed and burrowed myself deeper into the blankets. Suddenly I felt something shift underneath me and a pair of hands flipped me around so I was face to face with... Dominic? Ah, shit. I froze in surprise.
"Uhm, Hi?" I squeezed out. Dom grinned and brought his face an inch closer to mine.
"Hello," he said softly. I coughed awkwardly.
"So, um, we should get up right?"
"Nah, I like it here," he stated with a cheeky smile. I groaned in annoyance and squirmed about in an attempt to break free but he didn't let me go. He tucked my head under his chin so that my face was resting in his chest and I sighed with exasperation, which was not the best idea because I got a huge whiff of his scent. Mmmmm. Yummy. For once we agree. I stopped moving and instead decided to enjoy the peace while it lasted.
After a few minutes of laying like this Dom let me go and I sat up and stretched. I glanced at the clock which read 11:24 am. Ugh, it's not even lunchtime yet. What exactly am I supposed to do? I can think of a couple things... what? They involve a naked Dom- No. Worth a shot. I turned back to Dom.
"So... what do we do now?" I asked. He shrugged and turned the TV off.
"I dunno. We could talk?" He suggested. I raised my eyebrows.
"About what? How you kidnapped a stranger?" He frowned.
"You're not a stranger. And anyway, I was hoping we could talk about you," he said. My guard went up.
"Nothing to talk about," I say swiftly before walking back into the kitchen. Dom follows me.
"Okay fine, we don't have to talk about you," he says. "Do you play an instrument?" Random much? I sighed and turned around to face him.
"Yeah, I play an instrument."
"Which one?" He asks with a smile. I smirk at him.
"Guitar, piano, drums, ukulele, and violin," I state proudly. He blinks at me with surprise written on his face. Ha! Didn't expect that did you? Suddenly he breaks into a huge smile.
"That's so great! This means we can play together! Maybe you can even help me with songs and stuff!" He exclaims excitedly. I roll my eyes.
"Slow down. I'm not a professional musician Dom." He wiggles his eyebrows.
"I could teach you how to be." He says. I snort.
"No thanks, I think I'm good." I say and fill a cup with water. He hops onto the counter next to me and swings his legs. I look at him amusedly.
"Well, you don't have to let me teach you, but I do have a music room we could check out if you want," Dom says. I shrug and say,
"Why not?" He hops down and motions for me to follow him, so I do. We go up the stairs to the third level and he opens a black door.

Inside is a relatively large room filled with instruments. I'm immediately drawn to the beanbag chair in the corner. I dash over and plop down before he can steal it. He raises his eyebrows at me. Yeah, that's right. Just try to move me. Dom sighs and grabs a black acoustic guitar off the wall. He walks over to me and sits criss-cross before holding the guitar out towards me. I purse my lips but take it anyway. Once I've settled it in my lap correctly I look at him questioningly.
"So... what am I supposed to do with this?" I ask. He rolls his eyes with a smile.
"You play it," he responds.
"No, really? I thought I was supposed to eat it," I say, sarcasm dripping from my words. He laughs but makes a shooing motion with his hands for me to hurry up. I huff in annoyance but position my fingers to form an Em chord. I start to strum softly, switching to G, then D, then A, and repeat.
"All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
       Worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
       Going nowhere
       Going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
       No expression
       No expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
       No tomorrow
       No tomorrow"
I take a deep breath to prepare for the chorus.
"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
That the dreams in which I'm dying are the
       Best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
       Mad world
       Mad world"
I decide to stop there and look up from the guitar to see Dom staring at me.
"Uhm, you okay Dom?" I ask suspiciously in regard to his shocked face. He seems to snap out of it and I see a blush creeping up his neck which makes me smirk.
"Uh, yeah, sorry," he mutters. "I didn't know you were a singer!" I snort and shake my head.
       "I'm not a singer."
"But you sounded so good!" He exclaims.
"Dom," I sigh. "I am not a singer. Just because my voice is half decent and I can play a few cords on a guitar doesn't mean I'm automatically a singer. There's no way I could make a career out of it." He frowns but let's it go. Dom stands and takes the guitar to put it back where it was. I stand and we both walk out, closing the door behind us.
