"Well, my fatther died and my mother never remarried. She is the one who sent me here," Adrien explains. He sighs.
"In eighth grade, Joe finds out about the girl I had a crush on and he asks her out before I could. Later, she dumps him and moves onto to someone else." Adrien goes on to say.
"In my senior year of highschool, I had a new crush and again, Joe asks her out. She dates him, but when it came time for her to move he broke up with her." Adrien tells Marinette.
"I never saw or heard from her again. In college, I gave up on love because Joe always took the girl from me," Adrien says sadly.
"Mom knows our past history, yet she sent us both here. Joe gets the girls and I end up with the broken heart," Adrien remarks.
"A-Adrien, that is horrible, I did not know," Marinette says.
"Marinette, I felt something, I have not felt in a long time when I saw you on the bus," Adrien says, then he frowns.
"It is no use though because Joe always wins," Adrien says and refuses to look at her. He thinks, I can not ever have love.
"A-Adrien, what do you mean, Joe will take me from you?" Marinette asks. She thinks, what I have I done.
Adrien leans in and kisses Marinette on the lips. The whole time he thinks, Mari, I love you! Marinette unsure how to respond hears herself sigh,then returns the kiss.
"M-Marinette, I do not know what came over me, I am so s-sorry," Adrien apologizes. He runs off with a hurt look on his face.
Marinette stands there in and thinks, why did he kiss me and leave. She sighs and wishes he would come back. She also blushes.
"Hi, beautiful, so have you made a decision, yet?" Joe asks.
"Marinette, what took place while I was gone?" Joe asks. He thinks, she looks upset.
"I am sure I have no idea, what you mean, Joe," Marinette lies.
"Tell me the truth, what did Adrien do to you?" Joe asks angrily.
"Please, do not hurt him Joe. Leave me alone, Adrien will not like it!" Marinette yells at him.
"I do not care if he does not like it. He will get used to you being my girlfriend," Joe brags.
"I did not agree to this because I do not love you!" Marinette retorts.
Joe grabs her arm and tries to kiss her. Marinette tries to push him away and he laughs. Joe shoves her against the fence.
"Joe,let her go!" Adrien yells at him.
"Oh, and why should I? She is my girlfriend," Joe remarks.
"Do not listen to him. I told him no," Marinette says.
"Joe, I mean it, let Bluebell Gal, go!" Adrien says angrily.
Adrien and Joe glare at each other. "Why should I Adrien?" Joe scoffs.
"I love her! You only want her to hurt me by taking away the one I care about anyway," Adrien yells at his brother.
"Adrien, that is not true," Joe yells back. He lets go of Marinette's arm.
"It is too," Adrien argues. He punches Joe for hurting Marinette.
Joe punches Adrien back. Adrien kicks Joe hard in the shin. He can not give her up this easily.
Joe and Adrien continue to fight until Marinette says," Boys, please stop it! I am not worth it."
"Joe,if you promise not to hurt him I will go out with you," Marinette says with tears in her eyes. She thinks, sorry, Adrien.
"No, Marinette, I can not let you do this," Adrien says and begins to cry. He looks into her eyes and feels pain.
Adrien kisses her cheek and thinks, please love me, I can not do this. He sees her tears and looks away hurt.
" A deal is a deal, I will him alone for you sweetheart," Joe says with a grin. Then, winks at Marinette.
"Ok, deal then," Marinette says with a fake smile.
"M-Marinette, I love you! I can not believe you would do this to me," Adrien says sadly and runs away with a broken heart.
Adrien sits under a tree with his hands over his face. He refuse to stop the tears. He lost again and Joe won.
He can not understand it. He thought Marinette was different and now this happens? He thinks, why Mari? Why?
Joe smirks because he thinks he has won. He does not see the sad expression in Marinette's eyes, nor does he notice she is rather quiet.
