Chapter 3

Time skip, around 8-9 months.

"Late! Late! I can't be late," Zack mumbled and he rushed out the door, locking it. Zack ran out of the unit, seeing a bright red car. It looked pretty old, but Zack admired that fact about it. The boy caught himself staring at the vehicle and looked at his watch. 5:30. He had 15 minuets to get to the Jeffersonian so he started running. The car followed Zack, which he found weird. He couldn't bother with confronting the owner though, since he was almost late. That was until the car started blasting the Beetles, causing Zack to freeze up in shock. Zack looked over as the owner rolled down the car's window.

"Hop in, dude! We're going to be late!" The owner yelled. Zack took a minuet to realize who it was, then he walked over to the window and gestured for the car owner to turn down the music.

"Doctor Hodgins! How did you find my apartment?" Zack asked puzzled. Hodgins just laughed and made a hand movement, telling Zack to get in the car.

"Get in or Doctor Brennan is going to be pissed," Hodgins said calmly and Zack hurried in, putting on his seatbelt and closing the door.

"Please answer my question, Doctor Hodgins. Im extremely confused how you found where I live," Zack said, looking over at the man driving.

"You live like 10 minuets from the Jeffersonian dude. I pass here everyday! We were both late today so I decided to pick you up. Isn't that what co-workers do?" Hodgins said, nudging Zack who was as confused as ever.

"Please keep your focus on the road!" Zack yelled, throwing his arms in a symmetrical line in front of him. His co-worker just laughed again, and pushed his foot on the gas petal as hard as he could. Zack responded to this action with a yell and a scolding afterwards.

"Doctor Hodgins! You could've killed both of us, why would you do that! I don't see any logic in speeding like that! You broke the law! I couldn't even calculate the acceleration!" Zack scolded. Hodgins came to a stop and took of his seatbelt, Zack following him. Jack Hodgins wasn't the first out of the car, it was Zack. The boy slammed the door and trembled away from the car.

"Looks like the robot can be afraid!" Hodgins stated getting out of the car and locking it. Zack gave him a stern look, glancing at his watch. The grad student took off, the entomologist racing after him. "ZACK! ZACK! WAIT UP!" Hodgins yelled after the student.

Time skip, after work.

"Doctor Hodgins?" A voice echoed, and the doctor looked over at the sound. It was Zack, he was sweating and he looked tense.
"What do you need Mr. Addy?" Hodgins asked laughing at the boy.
"Can you drive me home?"
