As he showed Margie around town she cringed at everything he thought she'd recognize. He showed her the lake we used to swim at, her friend from school Jamie, the old skating rink, but nothing worked. He began to despair, what if Margarie never got her memory back?! Margie must've seen John worrying because she came over and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry?" she said sincerely"we'll figure this out." John swallowed hard and agreed. They shared a smile, then John had an amazing idea. "Follow me!" He said running into the woods behind the park. Margie shrugged and followed her weird friend.
Yup just run into the forest not knowing where you are going......good going Margie

They ran on and on and on, but always staying on a well-worn path. Then they got there. She stared at the big forest clearing, the sun shone through the trees basking the clearing in green light. It looked magical, and in their history it was. This was the place they became best friends. Margie had brought him out here after the first week of knowing each other, she had looked him in the eyes and they had sworn an oath to always be best friends no matter what happens. Tears rimmed Johns's eyes. Then Margie said, "I don't feel so good..." Then she collapsed. John caught her in his arms and ran her back to the town. As he ran back through the village, kids swarmed around him trying to figure out what had happened to Margarie Simons, the brave town girl. The adults swatted the kids away and tried to take Margarie in their arms but I said no and held on tighter to her. "Give her to us John!" They pleaded with him "We need to look and make sure she's alright!" But he shook his head and said "No. Just get me an ice pack and some warm water." The adults looked skeptical but eventually obliged and got the stuff.

Good jeez save the poor child! Seriously are you going to just stand and stare?!

He felt her pulse just like he learned in grade three, 50 beats per minute. That was to low. When the adults came with her water and ice he pulled out the cloth he always kept with him, soaked it in the hot water and lay it on her forehead. Then he pulled up her shirt so he could see her belly,

.....don't pull up anybody shirts unless they're dying ok? 👌

He lay the ice pack, piercing cold and flat on her belly. Margarie hissed and flung it off her. Then she bolt straight up into a sitting position. John let out a sigh of relief, she was ok, Margie was ok. He pulled her into a hug and Margarie awkwardly hugged back. Then she whispered in my ear softly, "Wait, who are you?".
