Jason lies motionless on the floor. Staring deep into the fire. I shake him. I smash water at him. I even slap him. And still no response. My hands start to shake and my lip trembles as I start to realise how much danger I've caused everyone. A cold tear drips slowly down my warm cheek and splashes delicately onto Jason.
He blinks.
"Jason?" I whisper hopefully.
He stares back and me blankly. Still nothing. But then I see a small flicker of light in his chocolatey brown eyes.
"Ash..." he smiles softly and gets up sharply, swaying as he moves.
I grin in relief and chuckle sitting him upright, "Don't do that again J. I was so worried!" I snap.
He chuckles, "I love it when you worry about me."
I roll my eyes and pick up my notebook, "We must've mixed something wrong. You should not have reacted like that."
I search and search and try to think back to see if there was anything we did wrong but I cannot think of anything.
"I'm pretty sure we mixed everything right. Maybe I just had a bad reaction to one of the ingredients. Anyway, we should probably head back now it's late."
I agree and we start to clear up all the mess we made. We say goodbye to Adelaide and head back to the Potions storage room to return the ingredients we "borrowed". The corridors seem to be completely empty and even when we go to the potions class, no one is there. We rush as quickly as we can back up to the Great Hall. Just as we arrive at the doors, the swing open as if on command but instead of opening for us, they open and a sea of students washes us down the corridor. I look around trying to spot Jason again in the crowd and he grabs my hand tightly, pulling me to the side, "How long was I on the floor like that for Ashely?"
"I... I don't know I thought we were only there for a few minutes. 20 at max!"
"Ashley this isn't good. We've missed about 4 dinners already! People are going to notice!"
We both keep walking with the crowd and instead of him going down to his common room again and me making my way up to mine, we end up in the library once again. "If we're gonna meet it has to be during the day. Even if that means risking more, at least we eat with our houses."
Jason nods and looks down at his feet. I thin slip of white parchment lies at his feet. He slowing bends down to pick it up, shaking. It reads:

𝒮𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒹𝒾𝒹 𝒾𝓉. 𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝒸𝑜𝓂𝓅𝓁𝑒𝓉𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝒶𝓈𝓀 𝐼 𝓈𝑒𝓉. 𝐵𝓊𝓉 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝒹𝑜 𝓃𝑜𝓌? 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝒻𝒶𝓈𝓉. 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝓈𝓁𝑜𝓌. 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝓋𝒶𝓈𝓉. 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝓁𝑜𝓌. 𝑀𝓎 𝒷𝓇𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼 𝓇𝓊𝓃 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒽𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝓌𝒽𝒾𝓁𝓈𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒶𝓁𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓉 𝒹𝒾𝑒𝒹. 𝐹𝒾𝓃𝒹 𝓊𝓈 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓌𝑒 𝓈𝓁𝑒𝑒𝓅 𝑜𝓇 𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝒷𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓅𝓈.

Jason passes it to me and I read it still very much confused. This makes no sense whatsoever and we could be waiting for days to hear 'their brothers' reply. But of course I am mistaken.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞. 𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝, 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧. 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭.

The two of us sigh deeply, "Brilliant," I say annoyed and concerned. "I guess we'll have to see what tomorrow brings."
