Loki's annoying runt

"Are you crazy?" Loki hissed when I was able to break the kiss. "You'll catch your death."

"I'm sorry but I needed a sample and that's the easiest way," I apologized profusely. 

"A sample of what?"

"Your genetics and the virus,"  I explained.

"Runt, if you get sick..."

"What? You sound like you might actually care about me," I chuckled.

Loki rolled his eyes at me. I took my leave and analyzed the sample I had gotten with my powers. I got to work on the best cure I could manage with what was available to me. After an hour or so I returned to Loki's room.

"It might not taste the greatest but I couldn't risk it not being potent enough," I explained as Loki made a face after smelling it.

He downed it quickly and gagged. I felt sorry for him but it was for the best.

"Was it poisoned or something?" Loki joked.

"Nah, I thought about it though, you're a tough patient to work with," I jabbed back. 

"Yet, you put up with me," Loki said seriously sitting up. He was still shirtless causing my breath to catch in my throat. I broke eye contact and looked around the room.

"Well, I can't help it. I-" I said but Loki grabbed me and pulled me on the bed so I was sitting next to him. "L-Loki?"

"Thank you, runt," Loki said seriously. "But if you tell anyone I said that I'll deny it," he whispered in my ear as he placed a kiss right below it. I shivered. "Now, let me rest."

I nodded unable to speak and left the room. Outside I realized I had been holding my breath since he had kissed my neck so I took a deep breath.

"Lady Astrid! There you are!" Thor boomed coming down the hallway. "You've been spending an awful lot of time with my brother lately."

"Well, he's been sick and no one else was helping him," I said simply not admitting I was developing a crush on the god.

"He's very lucky you're here then."

"Oh, it's nothing," I blushed.

"Come, let us train!"

"Oh, ok," I said following Thor to the training grounds. I had been getting better at fighting but I was still mainly about defense. 

We trained for about an hour before I grew tired and called it quits.

"I need to rest," I told Thor.

"Are you growing ill, Lady Astrid? You look pale," Thor asked as he walked over to me.

"Possibly," I admitted. "I did kiss Loki," I said and instantly regretted saying that. "It's not what you think!" I yelled getting anxious. "I needed to help him and I needed to know what I was working with and if I kiss someone I an analyze what they need with my powers," I explained quickly.

"You do not need to explain your love life to me, Lady Astrid."

"Love life?? No, Thor, I said-"

"I'm just giving you a hard time," Thor laughed. "But you do spend a lot of time with him."

"He's been sick!" I blushed like crazy.

"My brother is insufferable when ill yet you put up with him."

"I-"

"Leave Lady Astrid alone, brother," Loki said from the doorway.

"Loki? You're supposed to be resting."
