"Again? What the fuck?" Taehyung huffed at the mess before him. His garden had been raided again by pests. It was one thing to eat a flower or two but it's a whole other to pluck his entire flower bed out and only eat half of them.

He kicked the dirt, sending a flower flying across the yard. The flowers were something peaceful for him. He'd never been much of a gardener but he enjoyed watering them every day, giving them plant food, and relaxing outside with the gorgeous view of the multicolored plants.

His mother had always nagged at him to help her tend to her garden, but Taehyung was a teenage boy. There was no way he'd willingly help. But once he moved out, he missed her. His father, too, of course. However it was his mother's love of gardening combined with his love for her presence that prompted him to start his own garden. So there he was, throwing a tantrum over his torn up tulips.

"Okay, this is bullshit." He looked at the flowers scattered around, before exasperatedly kicking another a few feet away. "Since when have I ever had pests?"

Lately, this summer had been missing the flowers. At first it was subtle. A small bite out of a leaf, a few petals missing. But now, over the span of the last two weeks things changed. Every other day or so, half of his plants were in chaotic states. Today was the third time the whole thing was turned upside down. What vermin have been dropping by lately? The news hadn't mentioned any invasive species.

"Hmm," Taehyung stroked his chin in thought, could it be his neighbors? They have always been jealous of the roses in his front yard. "Hyejoo's always been trying to have a garden that could compete with mine. That bitch must've let her dog in here."

Just as he turned on his heels to leave his yard and give that bitch Hyejoo a piece of his mind, a scurrying invoked his brain to turn him around. Taehyung spun, arms pulled close but hands open as he froze, analyzing the area for anything. What's the worst that could happen? Those years of karate as a teen would finally come in handy.

More crunching of grass, plants, and sticks beneath the weight of something big cane closer. Could it be a bear? The yard was large, but Taehyung had wanted to preserve the nature surrounding it. So he wouldn't be surprised to see a few deer walk into his yard from the trees behind it every now and then. A bear? Maybe, but he'd never expected it.

Fuck, a bear. He thought to himself. What was it? Brown duck down, black fight back? He was incorrect, but it's not like karate would help him out much anyways.

He sucked in a deep breath and carefully took steps toward the sound. "Lord, if you let me go like this I'll be upset." He muttered, a few feet away from the source of the noise. "Fuck me." He squeezed his eyes shut as he took his last step behind a tree, bracing himself for whatever bear or creature awaited on the other side.

He opened his eyes and peeked around the tree, quirking a brow when he was faced with nothing but a pile of half chewed peonies.

Taehyung quickly turned back around,

and screamed when he was nose to nose with a handsome young man.

"What the fuck?!" He shoved the stranger to the ground and ran a few feet away, resting his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my back yard?!"

The man walked over, a weird walking pattern causing a 'thump', 'thump', 'thump',  came from him. Taehyung had finally calmed himself enough to breathe correctly, so he looked up to face the man.

Two long, brown ears stood at the top of his disheveled brown hair. Taehyung's eyes widened and he stumbled back, hissing when the bark of a tree dug into his shoulder blades. He stared in fear and confusion.... possibly a little lust but he'd never admit that. The man cocked his head to the side, probably equally as confused to be staring at Taehyung.

However, this...bunny-man, was stark naked. Taehyung raked his eyes over the man. Were the ears fake? He looked down to see a matching tail on the man's lower back.

He let out a breath, "W-why're you, why're you eating my plants?"

The man just crouched back down, taking a hop forward, too close to Taehyung for his comfort, and stood back up. He leaned in and sniffed Taehyung's shoulder. The latter stood frozen for a few seconds until a burst of confidence shot through him.

Wait a minute, he thought, It's a bunny. Why am I scared? He roughly pushed the boy away from him, sending him tumbling down infront of him.

The rabbit squeaked in pain when he landed, instantly making Tae feel bad. "Oh my God, I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." Taehyung crouched down and reached his hand out, only for the rabbit to cower in fear. His eyes softened, "I'm sorry. I won't hurt you. I promise." He bartered. The man hesitantly let his guard down, finally allowing for Taehyung to search him. Taehyung sighed when he saw the small drops of blood as well as the scratches littering his back. "Let me clean you up."

Taehyung stood back up and pulled the rabbit up with him. But when he took a step forward, the rabbit tried to hop. The key word being 'tried'. Instantly, he winced as soon as his right foot hit the ground. He stared up at Taehyung, scared and helpless as he awaited a reaction. The mentioned sighed once again, squatting to pick up the wild man in his birthday suit, and tossing him over his shoulder with a grunt.

The rabbit stared off at the forest with confusion and a whole lot of fear. As Taehyung walked back towards his house, he grabbed the right leg of the man on his back. All he earned in reply was winces of pain and a faint struggle to get his grip off of said leg. "I'm sorry, bunny."

Hybrids weren't much of an enigma these days. More of a rarity, if anything. A lot like raccoons as pets, for instance. Some people had them, not necessarily dangerous but obviously not domesticated, still found in the wild, and required a lot of special care but could burrow their way into your heart easily.

As well as both raccoons and hybrids as pets requiring rabies shots but that's besides the point.

As he entered through the screen door, he finally realized that he had a random hybrid's butt a mere centimeters away from his face. His face heat up.

"Uhm," when he moved to place the hybrid back on it's feet, the rabbit immediately squeaked and jumped back over Taehyung's shoulder when his right foot hit the ground right after his left.

Great. So now he had a hybrid to carry around. At least it meant he could skip the gym for today.
