Jungkook began to loudly whine, rubbing his face in pain. "Ow! Hurts!"
Taehyung grabbed him by the arm and led him back inside quickly. "Yeah, you idiot! It's a rose! You live outside, how have you never seen one?" He was so focused on finding the first aid kit that he didn't even realize Jungkook shrinking back at the yelling. "God! Where is that stupid thing?" He muttered to himself, tossing things around. Finally grabbing it, back to his permanent guest, he went. "Open your mouth."
Jungkook's sad pout went unnoticed and he opened his mouth, scrunching his eyes shut when he did. He peeked a little bit and saw Taehyung coming at his mouth with something thin and silver. Most shiny, silver things were bad. Candy wrappers, aluminum cans, coins. Things that weren't supposed to be in his outside home. He felt that applied to his new indoor home, and his mouth.
"No!" He managed to shout before slamming his mouth shout and turing away.
Taehyung was getting frustrated. "What?! Open your mouth! Im trying to fix it!" Jungkook shook his head. With a sigh, Taehyung straddled the other and held him in place by the ears. Calmly, yet ironically terrifying, he gave his instructions. "You're gonna open your mouth, and keep it open. I'm gonna use these tweezers to get all the thorns out. You need to sit still, or I'll just let you sit here with a spiky mouth. Am I clear?"
Jungkook's heart swelled at being given instructions. A Master of his very own. He'd always dreamed of one. But for a hybrid born in the wild? It wasn't likely. Yet here he was, nodding calmly and slowly opening his mouth for his very own.
The wince Jungkook emitted made Taehyung's heart ache slightly. The anger was dispersing just the slightest bit now that he had gotten him to cooperate. "I know, Honey, it hurts. I'll go ask fast as I can, bunny."
He grabbed a napkin and moved the tweezers into Jungkook's mouth. Carefully, one thorn was removed and thrown into a napkin. Repeat. Once more. And again. Until he had all the thorns in a napkin and stood up to throw them away.
"Here, swish this water in your mouth and spit it into this other cup." He instructed. Jungkook obediently took some water into his mouth. "This isn't something I ever thought I'd have to do." Taehyung muttered to himself. "That the first time you ate something that bit you back?" Jungkook just stared with wide eyes, swishing the water in his mouth. "Why would you ever put that in your mouth?" Taehyung chuckled.
Jungkook didn't understand the joke. "Because it's yummy?"
"Huh?"
Jungkook thought it was weird for him to respond like that. Everyone knew flowers were yummy. "The flowers are yummy." He saw Taehyung's eyebrows fly up. Proudly, Jungkook smiled. "They're my favorite snack! But one has never bit me back before."
Taehyung laid his elbows on his knees so he could hold his head in his palms, and sighed. This worried Jungkook. Was he alright? "Master?" He worryingly asked.
Taehyung sat as he calmly spoke, "You're...you're the one who ate and tore up the flower patch." Jungkook smiled and nodded.
He didn't know any better. His favorite food was always there no matter what! He wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to munch on colorful treats.
Taehyung, wasn't as smiley as he was. "You're the one.....you're the one tearing up my garden!" He yelled.
You can't blame him. If gardening was one of your hobbies, which you diligently worked on every day, you'd be just as passionate. His mother would nag him saying if he took better care of his plants, they'd stop being turned over.
Taehyung found it strange that his flower bed had stayed intact for a good couple of weeks. He assumed luck was finally on his side. Now he guesses it's just been the rabbit.
Jungkook scrunched himself up, frightened at the shout. "Kook so-sorry! Didn't know!"
Upon seeing Jungkook's fearful face, he took a deep breath. Jungkook was still from the wild. Some instincts and actions will stay forever. He had to remember that.
"It's okay," he replied, "Just don't do it again." Taehyung made his way to the doorway.
Jungkook followed when he saw jim put on his shoes. "Where are you going?"
Taehyung sighed. "Out. I'll be back in a bit." He said before he opened the door and stepped out.
This wasn't as big a deal as it should be, right? Taehyung decided he couldn't be upset with him for what he didn't know. So a nice walk would suffice as he calmed himself down and could return to his bunny.
He walked along the neighborhood until he reached a plaza full of obscure little stores.
Back at home, Jungkook bit his quivering lip. "K-Kook do wrong, make Master sa-sad. Master sad!" He whined as the tears began to fall.
But he quickly wiped them away when an idea came into his head. He could make this better. He could fix this.
He ran back outside and into the flower bed, where he rearranged the flowers as neatly as he could. "Pat, pat, pat." He said quietly to himself as he worked. Jungkook began to develop a habit of narrating his actions now that he knew so many English words. Taehyung never mentioned it. He was scared it'd make him aware of it and he'd stop. Which was the opposite of what he wanted, since he found Jungkook's quiet muttering cute.
Jungkook sat back to admire his work. It didn't look good as new. Definitely homemade, but still very nice. He hummed at his work and ran off into the woods eagerly.
Back at the plaza, Tae had been strolling through the shops. Nothing much had caught his interest as it was mostly just knickknacks and junk. But as he made his way back to the route he had taken, he spotted a woman with a cart of flowers. A bouquet for seven dollars.
Taehyung didn't like to buy flowers like this. He could grow his own in or outside his home. But this time, he figured he'd make an exception. So he walked up to the cart and gave her a twenty. "Keep the change." He said and grabbed a bouquet before she could answer. He was already on his way before she could even thank him.
He wasn't sure how he missed the woman when he first entered, he was just glad he found her, at least.
In the woods, Jungkook searched the ground, but couldn't find the perfect flower. The other animals have probably eaten them. But he wouldn't give up. Jungkook searched far and wide until a beautiful area came into view.
How could he forget about the sunflowers! Every now and then, he'd make his way over there for a treat. Before he met Taehyung, that is. When a tall flower came into view, he ran towards it and hopped into the grass. It was the perfect place to hop with his friends or even by himself.
He happened to roll, something that was almost as fun as hopping, and stop right infront of a sunflower.
The perfect flower!
He smiled a wide, toothy grin as he yanked it out of the ground and went bounding back in the direction he came from.
Taehyung smiled at the bouquet one last time before digging his keys out of his pocket and unlocking the door. "Kook?" Kicking his shoes off, he walked into the den when he didn't get a reply. "Bunny? Where you at?" He heard the odd thump he could only recognize as Jungkook hopping over, and it made him smile. "There you are."
"Master Tae! Master Tae, come look!" Heat rose to his face but Taehyung followed orders, pretending like his heart didn't speed up from the name. "I have something for you.~" Jungkook sang. Taehyung had something else in mind, but who knows. Maybe they were thinking the same thing.
