After an awkward yet thorough bath, Jungkook sat happily on Taehyung's bed, watching television. Taehyung was in the shower. The dirt on Jungkook ended up all over him in water form. He didn't know what gunk hybrid rabbits rolled around in in the wild, but he didn't want any part of it.

So Jungkook was left alone to marvel at the idiot box against the wall. Taehyung had left on Sesame Street, hoping the different teaching techniques could help Jungkook learn some more words.

Jungkook was a fast learner when he wanted to be. Eager and on the edge of the bed, he was the most focused he'd probably ever been. He was determined to speak Human. Jungkook had no idea there was many different human tongues, but he didn't need to know that right now. He just needs to know what the letter of the day is for Elmo.

"The word of the day is ; wobble!" Elmo giggled on the screen.

"Wah-ble." Jungkook smiled. He knew a new word! But what did it mean?

"To 'wobble' means being unsteady. Swaying back and forth." Elmo stood on one leg and wobbled. Puppets aren't very stable. "Woah!" Elmo giggled. Jungkook leapt off the bed and picked up a leg. He struggled to stay balanced. "Look! Elmo is wobbly!" Jungkook smiles at the screen. He was wobbly, too!

The bathroom door opened from inside the room, bursting his bubble. "What'cha doing?" Taehyung rubbed his hair through the towel and hung it to dry.

"Look!" Jungkook ran over to the still wet Taehyung, not paying any mind to his bare chest, and picked his foot up. "Elmo taught Jungkook how to wobble!"

Taehyung's smile was so quick, he couldn't catch it. But was Jungkook speaking in third person? Maybe Elmo wasn't the best person to help teach him English.

"Good job, Kook!" He held his palm up to him, and Jungkook just flipped his head, ears smacking his side. He leaned in and bumped his palm with his forehead. Taehyung laughed quietly. "No, let me show you." He grabbed Jungkook's hand and positioned it out, before lightly smacking it with his own. "That's a 'high-five', it means you did good." Jungkook nodded.

Wow! He didn't expect to learn so many words from so many different places.

"High five for me again?" Jungkook asked, and held his hand up for Taehyung to smack.

Taehyung obliged, but hoped to explain a little more. "What's that for? When you high-five, it's usually to celebrate something. But I didn't do anything special right now."

Jungkook shook his head. "Taehyung is special all the time. But can not high-five him all the time."

"You all the time." Taehyung corrected.

Jungkook appreciated it. "But can not high-five you all the time."

Taehyung finally let the comment sink in and it made his chest feel warm and fuzzy. Aw, he thinks he's special. That's sweet.

"So, what's up next?"

Jungkook clapped happily and jumped back onto the bed. "Help me practice! Talk to me."

Taehyung sat on the bed and crawled under the covers. "Okay, I'm just gonna talk to you like it's a normal conversation and I'll correct you as we go, okay?" Jungkook nodded, eager for the challenge.  "What's your name?"

"My name is Jeon Jungkook. What is your name?"

"My name is Kim Taehyung. It's nice to meet you."

Jungkook smiled, "Yes! I have meeted you."

Taehyung laughed, "No, you're supposed to say, 'It's nice to meet you, too.' And 'meet' in the past is 'met'." He smiled at Jungkook, "But you're doing good!"

The praise made Jungkook feel special. Striving to improve his communication skills until all Taehyung will ever say to him is nice words.

"How old are Taehyung?"

"How old are you." He corrected.

Jungkook gave him a lost look, "I asked first."

"No, I meant the correct way to ask is 'how old are you?' but okay." Taehyung really couldn't get too frustrated with Jungkook. The curiosity and eagerness to learn was not something to fault. "I'm twenty five years old. How old are you?"

"I'm twenty three!"

They smiled at each other and sat in silence. What now?

"Um, can I ask you a question?"

"You just did, yes?"

Taehyung chuckled, "Yes. I did. I'll ask another one then. What was life like for you? Outside, I mean."

Jungkook smiled, "Happy. I am very happy outside." He felt warm as he reminisced. "I find food for me and I play with my family and I hop with my friends and I do many things."

Taehyung was very happy seeing his guest so excited and smiley. Not that he wasn't before. "That is a lot of things."

"We are be small, but not small enough for angry eaters. We scare by bears. Need to keep watch. We are be small, but not small enough to hide everywhere. Need to be fast and smart to live outside." He fiddled with his righ ear, nervously petting it.

"I'm sure that's scary, huh?" Jungkook nodded and his expressions were quick to change from happy to sad. Tae wouldn't let him stay that way. "But you're fast and strong. You survived."

"Mhm," he nodded, "I survive." He puffed his chest out pridefully, and then shrunk back. "Hey, Taehyung?"

"Yes?"

"What's 'survive'?"

Taehyung chuckled, "It means to continue to live."

He nodded. "Yes, I do survive."
