"Nico, I'm cold."

Nico continued cooking Thanksgiving dinner. "That's great, Will. We have blankets in the other room."

Will's arms found their away around Nico's thin waist. "But Nico, you're so warm," he mumbled into the boy's back.

"No, I'm not. I'm the son of the dead. I'm cold like a corpse. Now, get off me. I have to put this in the oven." Nico peeled the arms off his body.

Sighing, Will left the kitchen. Nico placed the turkey in the oven and set the timer. It would be hours until it was done cooking.

"Hey, Nico!" Nico heard Will shout. "Can you help me?"

The boy rolled his eyes. Oh gods, what did Will have planned? "Fine, I'm coming."

When Nico heard no response from his boyfriend he decided it would be best to walk quietly and slowly into the room to avoid any surprises.

Nico poked his head in the room, only to see a large pile of blankets and pillows. Probably every single one that they owned.

Will couldn't have possibly been that cold.

"Will?"

"You wanna build a fort?!" A mess of blond hair popped up from the blankets.

Nico bit back a laugh. "A fort?" He couldn't help but smile.

"Mhm!" Will answered excitedly. "I've got everything that we need. Besides, you don't want to just sit there for hours watching the food cook in the oven. C'mon, Nico. It'll be fun!"

Giggling, Nico ran and jumped into the pile of pillows and blankets. He attacked Will with a hug, hoping he wasn't smothering the boy with all the fort-building supplies.

"Okay. Let's build a fort."

Will grabbed the pillow next to him and smacked Nico in the head. "We're gonna make the best for ever."

Rolling off of Will, Nico ran to the kitchen and dragged two chairs back to the area. "Grab a blanket!" he called, setting the chairs in place.

Immediately, the two boys went to work, stacking up pillows and making walls out of blankets. The blankets managed to collapse three times, burying poor Nico in a pile of fluff. Fortunately, Will was always there to rescue his rather inexperienced fort-building parter.

"Is it done yet?" Nico asked, standing up with his hands on his hips.

Will laughed. "I don't know. We have to go inside and see." He took Nico's hand, pulling him into the fort.

"Well, I can assure you you'll no longer be cold in here," Nico said, gazing up at the dark ceiling composed of bedding material. He laid down on a mess of pillows. "Actually, it's quite comfy in here."

"Don't get too comfortable; you have the oven on."

"Mm, yeah, but it's Thanksgiving. And right now, all
I'm thankful for is you."

A/N: Don't burn down the house, Nico! :P
