Is there a word for when you're just so happy with everything that you could just die because you couldn't become any more satisfied with how things are? If there is, that one word describes my life. I am just so...
happy.
Everything is going great.
My name is You Watanabe.
I am thirty two years old.
People say that being in your mid-thirties is a bit too early to be at the prime of your life,
but I disagree.
I mean, could things get any better than this?
I'm a sailor! Isn't that cool?
I absolutely love the ocean!
I love uniforms, too! Aren't all types of uniforms so cute?
The only thing I love more than the ocean, uniforms, and my life...Is my beautiful, loving wife, Chika Takami.
I have a very average daily routine, you see...
When I wake up in the morning,
I get dressed and go downstairs.
I give Chika a kiss on the cheek,
and then I go to work. When I get home,
I change out of my uniform and go upstairs.
I give Chika a kiss on the forehead,
and then proceed with my day.Ah, it's my day off...
Though, I'm still excited—
Even if I'm not going to work.
Nothing new's happening,
I just... am."You, I'm a little busy today, and we're a little low on oranges- er, food... so could you go shopping for me?" Chika requested awkwardly, hoping her wife hadn't noticed her slip up. Her delicate hands folded as she awaited You's response.
"Of course," You nodded, happy to be of use to her loyal wife.
"Thank you, You!" Chika chimed, hugging You's torso. You beamed as she gave Chika her daily kiss on the cheek, "goodbye, Chika!"Your entire world is nothing but black and white until you meet your soulmate. Ever since the pair had seen color for the first time, You has loved when Chika smiled. Her hair that frames her adorable face is orange, just like Chika's favorite food. This made You chuckle just thinking about it.
Chika's soft, pink cheeks the same color as her bright, sparkling eyes. The way the warm color become more evident just from a simple kiss was just another thing You loved about Chika.
Vibrant magenta eyes, filled with nothing but pure joy, her sometimes unrealistic dreams, and the like. Even when clouded with tears, You could stare into Chika's eyes all day.
Chika's voice, to You, was the most angelic thing she'd ever heard. Even when she's screaming the lyrics to her favorite μ's songs in any key but the one of the original song, it's still superior to any other musical artist. From her dumb jokes, to her goofy pickup lines, anything from Chika would be appreciated by You.
Those were the things You loved about Chika's smile. The pair both have had so much appreciation for color ever since they first met, and they both felt such immense joy upon seeing each other's faces.
You had commonly been told of the envy others held for their love, despite her never knowing the reasons behind it. She loved Chika, and Chika loved her. Isn't that how it's supposed to be? She's just being honest, as well as what she thought was a good partner."Did I ever tell you how nice you look in a sailor uniform?" Chika inquired, orange hair falling over her shoulder slightly as she leaned forward, tilting her head. "It looks cute on you."
As You made her way to the door, the compliment gifted to her had sparked a spring in her step. "Hah, thanks!" She turned to send one last wave Chika's way. "I'll see you when I get home! I love you!"
"Love you, too!" Chika called back.Swinging her silver keys around on her index finger, You slipped into her navy blue car. Everything seemed much more colorful these past few days, and that had only made the couple happier. Whenever You went outside, she could see the sun's rays highlighting the top of her car and, as she swung her keys around, she enjoyed watching the light move around the top of the keys.
