Cole, having just made his way into the barracks was absolutely confused.

"Did I interrupt something..?" He awkwardly shifted his gaze to the wall.

It took Cory a good 5 or so seconds to realize what Cole. He looked down and practically jumped when he realized he was shirtless right now. It's not like he looked bad or anything, he just got paranoid being exposed in front of other people.

"Pssh, n-no! Stop being weird Cole," Cory managed the words as he quickly grabbed the shirt and vest that laid on his bed.

"Uh, right.." Cole nodded unconvinced as he watched Cory slip his shirt back on and clip the vest into place.

Cory, trying to act as though that hadn't happened, cleared his throat. "You gonna tell me why you're here?"

"...Yeah, yeah. Crystal wanted to see you. Said she's doing research on some SCP you came in contact with."

"Great!" Cory awkwardly shuffled past Cole but stopped in his tracks.

"Hang on, I need-" Cole was cut off by being flipped around and smacked onto Cory's bed, "What the- Cory?!"

Cory's face shone with an annoyed expression as he dug his elbow hard into Cole's chest. Cole's outburst brought him back to reality, and he immediately released Cole from his grasp. "S-sorry, I'll uh.....catch you later-"

A confused Cole stared on as Cory hurried out of the room. Since when had Cory been able to do that?

As Cory walked along the halls to meet with Crystal, he scolded himself internally. Had he really freaked out over Cole grabbing his arm?? What was he, five? What a great use of Carter's self-defense training..

He let out a small sigh as he neared the door to Crystal's office. He wasn't looking forward to this, he knew he'd get a lecture on how late he was. But, Cory had promised the other day that he would help her, he couldn't just back out now. He pulled out his employee ID card and swiped his card through the scanner. The light changes from red to a light green and Cory stepped inside the room.

Cory hadn't been inside for a single second before Crystal started on him.

"AUGH! I can't believe you were this late!! Of all days, you just had to pick today, didn't you," Crystal huffed as she shoved a stack of papers into Cory's arms.

"Nice to see you too Crystal.." Cory awardky went over to the table next to Crystal's desk and set the pile of papers down on the table, "What are we doing again..?"

Crystal whipped around to face him with an annoyed expression stretched over her round face. "Really? I told you a million times!"

"Ohh, that thing.." Cory nodded nervously still having no idea what she was talking about.

Crystal sight and pushed her glasses back against her face, "I have to write up paperwork to transfer some SCPs, and I need you to tell me about your interactions with them."

"Ah, riiight," He rubbed the back of his neck, "Which SCPs?"

"SCP-2020, 662, 1424, and," She flipped one of the pages of her clipboard and squinted at the page, "SCP-999."

Cory jumped slightly at that last one. He hadn't even realized 999 was on base.
