Cory had always been an easy sleeper. Somehow, anxiety was kind enough to leave him alone until he entered the dream-scape. So of course entering was easy, they wanted it to be hard for him to come out. But Cory, being unaware of all this, took a rest anyway.

It wasn't long before the imagery started before him. The scenery of the home he'd left behind.
As always, the bright summer sun was shining down on the field below. Cory, standing in the midst of it, let the oncoming wind tousle his golden hair.
That hair had caused him a bunch of trouble on its own. Everyone assumed his hair was dyers since it was so bright and not an average blonde, but he'd had this hair his entire life. Those didn't pop up a lot though. It was a lot less of an eyesore to people than his camera face.

Cory opened his eye and stared out at the Boston sunset. The scene seemed perfect, it reminded him of home. But, even still Cory couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him. Something was definitely wrong here, this seemed too good to be true

In an instant, Cory's suspicions were proven right. The scenery around him began to die. All the grass began to wilt, the sun seemed to shrivel up, and even Cory's vision started to get fuzzy. It wasn't long before he was completely engulfed in the eerie darkness. The feeling of dread was stronger now, almost as if it was pulling him in different directions. After a few moments, the burning pain in his stomach ceased. And he was relieved. The pain had finally left! Well, he had a few seconds of pure bliss until he heard the familiar cocking of a gun behind him.

As the feeling of dread and fear returning once again, he whipped around to see who it was before him. His eye widened when he saw the barrel of Hooper's gun staring him down. He began to back up when he saw the cruel expression on his former friends face. Bang! Before he'd even had time to do much more than move a few feet back , Hooper had fired and Cory could feel the bullet penetrating his body.

Next thing he knew, Cory shot up with a scream. He managed to stifle it, but it caused the tears in his eyes to increase and mesh with the sweat on him.

To most, the dream seemed to be nothing more than a nightmare. But to Cory, it was a harsh reminder of the past. Hooper had been locked up at this facility becausehe'd helped Otis in illegally selling SCP

He knew it was a dream, it had to have been a dream. If Trianna were here, she'd probably have scolded him for thinking Hooper could have possibly escaped. She'd probably tell him to have more faith in the Foundation.

God, he missed her.

However, Cory's thoughts were interrupted when he heard the familiar tac of the barrack door hitting the wall. After a moment of brain connection, he quickly stripped off the billet proof vest he'd been wearing, the one always seemed to forget it was clipped onto his actual shirt.
