Zora had been waiting for her to slip up, eavesdropping from the tree tops. Everyday, police detective Percy would come into Redwood Run to help clean up the town. And by help, she meant single-handedly, because the sheriff was too ditzy to assist, the well watcher was too dedicated to his "job" to pitch in, and the bar keep literally was insane. The worst thing, above almost falling from branches multiple times, above the fact that she never heard any good information about either Ramsey or the amulet, was that she sometimes found herself rooting for the officer.

The cop would face off against the many banzai blasters infesting the town, and Zora wanted her to win. The strategy Percy displayed in battle, the placement and ability of her parapets, the way she narrated her every move while still remaining unpredictable, Zora adored it. Percy was brilliantly intelligent, and that was a trait Zora liked in people.

Zora could only imagine what it'd be like to face off Percy again, without Ramsey there to ruin it. She would fire her gun, and Percy would cleverly find a way to combat her with her epithet. Zora was tempted to convince Bliss Ocean to let Percy keep her Epithet, but that would get her in a lot of trouble, and besides, Zora knew her loyalties. Still, she refused to let Percy lose her epithet without one more good throw down, even if it went against most everything Zora stood for.

Zora was jolted from her fantasy by the blast of a banzai gun firing. Oh, this was going to be fun! She skittered from tree to tree to get a better view of the fight. Naturally, with a couple well placed and carefully thought out parapets, Percy had trumped the blasters. The group fled in fear, running straight out of town as the officer yelled after them. Zora assumed that Percy wanted to arrest them, but they were already gone, and the blonde already looked drained from the battle. Zora could help but whistle, impressed with just how low Percy's stamina was, albeit this was the third fight that had broken out today alone.

Percy stumbled away from the open area, and rested against a tree to regain her breath- the very tree Zora was hiding in. Zora shrunk back, both in fear of being spotted, and because she was a little flustered. So she had fallen for the police officer, what did it matter? It wasn't her fault Percy had such pretty blonde hair and stunning blue eyes that Zora might have maybe gotten lost in a teensy tiny bit when she had fought her and Ramsey. Zora took a deep breath. She had to go through with her mission regardless of her feelings, and the foolish officer had let her guard down.

Zora slunk down the trunk of the tree. She grabbed the wrist that the police officer had pressed to the tree. "Wha-?" the cop began, but Zora yanked her into the bushes before the word had fully left her.

"I want answers," Zora demanded.

"Zora?" Percy asked, dumbfounded.

Damn, even her bewilderment was adorable. "I said, I want answers," Zora repeated, "Where is the amulet?"

"That information is classified," Percy retorted.

"Of course it is," Zora cooed mockingly, "That's why I'm questioning you. Now, how's about a little somethin' to change your mind, darlin'?" Zora unholstered one of her guns and pointed it at Percy. It was a bluff, of course, she couldn't bring herself to pull the trigger with someone so smart and pretty on the receiving end. She also needed Percy alive for questioning, so there was that, too.

"Your threats won't work on me, Zora. I'd rather die than let that amulet fall into the wrong hands!" Percy's conviction was admirable, as by extent, endearing.
