No Child Left Behind

Everyone watches as the Conductor talks to the boy.

Eddie- Ah , it's just another pick up. That's strange. ( To Hero Boy ) I thought you were supposed to be the last one.

Rainbow- I actually thought so too.

Everyone sees the boy backing up from the conductor.

Conductor- Suit yourself.

He gets back on the train before it whistles and moves gradually. Rainbow and Hero glance sadly at the boy who gives them the same look. Hero waves to him. But after a few seconds , the boy surprises the duo as they witness him running with the train.

Rainbow- Hey , guys ! Hold up !

Hero- That kid wants to get on the train !

This got the Mane 6 attention as they peak through them.

Pinkie- He's going ?!

Fluttershy- Oh , please , let him make it !

Hero- Come on ! Hurry up !

Rainbow- Come on , buddy ! Just a little further !

Pinkie- RUN ,  FORREST , RUN !!!

But before the kid could grasp onto the stair railing , he trips face first into the snow. The girls gasp in horror as Hero Boy perplexes before he faces everyone.

Rainbow- We have to get him ! No child left behind !

Hero- Yeah , we have to stop the train !

Holly- I don't know how !

Eddie- ( Points ) Pull the emergency brake !

Everyone looks to see there's a red lever next to the exit. Rainbow and Hero rush to it and they grab onto it and pulled it together , stopping this train in a rough halt as Rainbow and Hero fall , taking Holly , Fluttershy , Eddie , and Pinkie Pie down with them. As the train comes to the full stop , they get up off the aisle and see the boy walking on and he spots them through the small window. Rainbow and Hero see him and smile friendly and wave to him. But he just shakes his head and goes to the back cart. Rainbow raises an eyebrow and she and Hero look at Holly who just shrugs.

Rainbow- What was that all about ?

Suddenly , the door opens to reveal a furious conductor.

Conductor- Who in the blazes applied the emergency brake ?!

Everyone faces him , Eddie points at Rainbow Dash and Hero like an 8 year old tattletale.

Eddie- They did !

Pinkie- Hey , that was your suggest--

Sunset covers her mouth and the conductor glares sternly at the duo.

Conductor- You. ( Walks up to them ) In case if you two aren't aware , that cord is for emergency purposes only. ( Faces the window ) And in case if you weren't aware , tonight ( Signals the engineer )  Is Christmas Eve ! ( Shuts the window ) And in case if you hadn't noticed , this train is on a very tight schedule. Now , young man , Christmas may not be important to some people , but it's very important to the REST. OF. US. !

Hero- But--but--but--but...

Rainbow- Look , at the very last minute , that boy wanted to go on but he tripped and fell so we pulled the brake ! No child left behind is one of my mottos of  loyalty .

Conductor- And you... You're older than them , why did you let a 10 year old pull the lever ?!

Rainbow- I just explained why !

Holly- ( Points at door ) They were just trying to stop the train so the kid can come on  !

The conductor stops and looks through the small circular window and sees the little boy taking a seat.

Conductor- I see. Young man , young lady , Is that what happened ?

Rainbow- Of course.

Hero Boy nods and gestures to Holly , who nods along as well.

Conductor- Well...to remind you... ( Takes out his pocket watch ) we are on a very tight schedule ( Takes a look at the watch ) AND I've never been this late before ! And I'm certainly not gonna be late tonight !

The conductor walks up to the different door where there's a radio.

Conductor- Now , everyone , take your seats !

Without being told twice , everyone rushed back to their assigned seats and sat down.

Conductor- Thank you.
