~chapter one~

Emily's POV~

"Looks like you're going to have to stay tonight," my dad said to Noah, "the storm isn't clearing up and it's not safe to drive."

Yes! Noah was staying again, that meant movies and pizza.

"That's fine by me," Noah replied "I'll just go and phone my mum." Noah disappeared into the kitchen to phone his mum while me and my dad sat quietly listening to the rain drops hitting off of the window, I yawned and wrapped the blanket tightly around my body.

"I have to go to work sweetie, here's some money so you can order a pizza." Dad smiled handing me a twenty pound note, "don't set fire to the house!" He laughed and kissed my forehead, "bye."

"Thanks dad, bye!" I yawned back.

Noah came back from the kitchen and plonked down next to me putting his arms around me, "god you're freezing!" He laughed and hugged me tighter, I buried my face into his warm chest. "I ordered a cheese pizza, it should be here in fifteen minutes." I looked up and smiled at Noah kissing him on the cheek.

Everything about him was so perfect. His bright blue eyes, his dark brown messy hair, his perfect smile, his glowing white teeth, his square jaw, his muscular arms... I could go on and on. Noah had been my best friend since we were both one, which is 17 years, he was more like a brother than a best friend. We fight like a married couple, act like lovers, talk like best friends and protect each other like siblings. Hey isn't that a quote from somewhere? I'm pretty sure the last line of it is 'then it's meant to be.' Well yes, I've had a massive crush on my best friend for the past 4 years... Maybe more, but I know nothing will ever happen between us.

"You done staring?" Noah smirked and I hit his chest blushing furiously, " I mean I know I'm beautiful but the pizza man's waiting outside and the pizzas gonna be getting cold." I shoved him as hard as I could but he wouldn't budge. God, this man's a tank. He smirked at me again and went to get the pizza, was I really staring at Noah? Oh my...
