Hoseok stared at his computer screen, a sigh of longing escaping his lips. God, you looked so beautiful, even just sleeping. He would've loved to be able to stare at you in person, but you had recently put up more security measures. He wasn't quite sure why you wanted more security, but he was fairly sure it had something to do with your new boyfriend.
Mark.
Hoseok really hated Mark. Mark was your current boyfriend- the man that was taking the place that should be his, but he didn't mind too much. He wasn't going to get rid of Mark- not yet anyway. For now, he'd allow you and Mark to fool around, even though it meant that you were cheating on him. Mark was one of those over-protective boyfriends, though. That meant to things for Hoseok. First, it meant that you'd be protected when he wasn't around (which was never, but it was nice to have reassurance). And second, it meant that he couldn't watch you in person, since Mark had clearly noticed someone watching you. That's why you had upped the amount of security on your house.
What you and Mark didn't know was that Hoseok had already installed cameras just in case something like this happened, but hadn't expected them to be used so soon. For now, Hoseok was content just watching over you from afar. And as long as Mark treated you well, he'd leave him alone too.
However, as the weeks passed by, Hoseok couldn't help feeling more and more jealous of Mark. He was the one who always got your attention, your affection- your love. It was as if you had forgotten that Hoseok was your boyfriend at all! Sometimes it seemed as though you didn't even know he existed. It really hurt when you pretended not to know him, but he could understand that you were clearly angry with him about something. You had to be, otherwise you wouldn't be treating him this way, right?
So, when Mark had to leave for a business trip, Hoseok couldn't hold himself back from sneaking into your house that very night. He knew it was risky with all of the cameras you had set up, but he couldn't care less at this point. What was risky about a visit from your boyfriend anyway?
Hoseok stared down at your sleeping form, eyes softened and a smile on his face. He hesitated for a moment, but then carefully positioned himself to lay beside you. Almost immediately, your arms pulled him closer to you, and he practically melted in delight.
He wanted to kiss you.
And so he did.
Your eyes snapped open, wide and fearful. Perhaps you were surprised, that had to be it. You never liked surprises. He should've remembered that, it was his fault you were pushing him away. So, he apologised for surprising you, and leaned in again, but you still pushed him away. Now Hoseok was confused.
"Get away from me you psycho!" You screeched, clawing at his grip on you.
A psycho? Ah! He understood now. How could he have been so stupid? All along, he didn't realise what was going on. But now, at least now he knew.
You were playing a game.
You had been all along, he knew it now. You were playing a game with him. First you had pretended to be mad, even going as far as to get a fake boyfriend. And then, you had pretend that he was a stranger to you.
And now, you were in the final act of your little drama- pretending that he was crazy. That was okay. He could play psycho just fine, if that's what you wanted."If you don't kiss me, I'll slit your fucking throat." He growled out, watching in amusement as you did as he instructed.
Playing games with you was such fun!
