Was that you? That couldn't be you, right? No, no, of course not. You were asleep in bed- he knew you were, he'd only left your house minutes ago after watching you cry yourself to sleep. Of course, Hoseok knew exactly why you were so upset. He'd seen it all.
Earlier in the day, your boss had yelled at you, even threatening to fire you. Now, Hoseok couldn't have that happening. If you lost your job, how on Earth was he supposed to see you so often?
You working in a cafe meant that he could blend in with all the other customers, and, even if anyone did ever point him out, it's not too weird to be a regular customer. Sometimes, he even brought his friends with him, just to fit in. If you lost your job, it'd be way more likely that someone would notice him admiring you so often. But, you deserved to be admired- worshipped!
Really, even having to leave his usual position outside your window was upsetting, but not as heartbreaking as your tear-filled eyes and choked sobs. That was why he left. One night of not seeing you (in person, he still had the cameras) couldn't hurt, especially if it meant that you wouldn't be hurt again.
Hoseok has to be careful that you never found out about this, though. He dreaded to think of your reaction to what he planned to do that night. It really was the last resort. He's left warning for that boss of yours before, and nothing changed. They brought this on themselves.
He tells himself that over and over, the whole walk there. And yet, there's still that dreaded sense of guilt building up inside him- the feeling that he's about to do something horribly wrong. And, well, he is. He knows you wouldn't approve, so it must be wrong. But, it's for you! You might not approve, so you definitely aren't going to do it yourself, so Hoseok has to take on that burden for you. As your loyal lover, your protected, your greatest fan, it's his duty.
It's surprisingly easy to pick locks, he's discovered that after practising enough with yours. That fact never fails to horrify him- the thought of some creep breaking into your house is the exact reason he needs to guard you. What disturbs him more is the amount of people that don't ever bother with alarms in their houses. Really, he send you a warning about that. Hoseok lifts the phone- a special phone, one he uses only to talk with you- snaps a quick picture of the hallway, and sends it, reminding you to buy an alarm for your house.
He walks up the stairs as quietly as he can. If possible, he wants to do this while he's sleeping. He's not a monster, he doesn't want them to suffer too much, after all, he only yell- That man did hurt you. He yelled at you, he made you cry. That man...he almost had you fired.
Hoseok's eyes narrow as he opens the bedroom door with a thud. The bastard is still sleeping peacefully, blissfully unaware of all the pain he's caused. Hoseok feels sick just looking at him, perhaps, perhaps it would be better if he was unrecognisable. That could be arranged easily enough. A few gashes here and there, and no one would ever have to look on his horrid face again. Plus, when you eventually saw what happened, you wouldn't have to see the man's dead face. Hoseok didn't want you to have to go through the trauma of seeing someone you know dead. So, he'll make sure no one will know who it is.
The man begins to shift in his sleep, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. A bad dream? What a shame, ending his life on a low point. Then again, if this man yells at a goddess like you, he's clearly not doing so well. He's clearly not seeing something right. Maybe there's something wrong with his brain, something that makes him confuse a goddess for someone lower than them both. Ah, what was it Hoseok read the other day? Some old treatment for the brain? He screws his eyes shut, doing his best to remember, but all he can recall is that it involved drilling into the skull.
Oh! It was a method of releasing evil from a person, right? Yes, yes, that was it. If you drill into their head, then the evil thoughts trapped in there would disappear. This man had disrespected a goddess, after all. If that doesn't show evil thoughts, then what would?
Hoseok sighed. He'd have to go and find a screw now, wouldn't he? Surely, this man had a hammer somewhere in his house, so maybe it wouldn't take too long. He could just ask him, but the man was far too full of evil to reply honestly. But, that's okay, because Hoseok would be getting rid of that evil soon. In fact, he'd be getting rid of that man altogether.
