"Y/n!" Came the shriek across the hall. Many turned to see the cause, you included- though, you had a pretty good idea who it was already.
Sure enough, Seokjin's form quickly stopped by your side, panting slightly. You're not sure how long he'd been running for, but he looked pretty tired. Suddenly, he placed his hands on your shoulders, his eyes boring into you, as if searching for something.
"Are you okay?!" He sounded panicked. "They didn't manage to- Of course not."
"Seokjin? You alright?" You raise an eyebrow, but the concern in your words shows your genuinity. It's almost enough to melt the man's heart, but not now. He has more important things to worry about than his feelings.
"Y/n, come with me. We need to talk." He says, not bothering to wait for you as he begins to leave the area. Though he quickly stops when he noticed you aren't following. "Y/n?"
Again, you stay where you are. "We have class in a few minutes- if I leave now, I'll be late."
"But I need to talk to you! Please, it's important!" He's practically begging at this point, staring at you with those wide, pleasing eyes. Usually, you'd give in. But not today. Today, you know you can't miss another lesson, as boring as they are.
You roll your eyes, chuckling softly. "Last time we said that we just hung out at your house and nothing happened."
"Well something has happened." He replies immediately. It startles you a little- the urgency in his tone, the deadpan seriousness. But again, Seokjin always does this, and it's never actually important. The bell rings, and you shoot your friend a teasing grin before leaving for class.
A while later, you step out the door, eyes tired from concentrating (on not falling asleep). All you want to do now is go home, maybe curl up with a blanket, some chocolate. But, apparently, the man dragging you along with him has other ideas. Of course, his grip doesn't hurt. It never does- Seokjin's always especially careful to be gentle with you. It's always confused you, but it's not exactly something to complain about. Well, not usually.
"May I ask where we're going?" You try, not expecting an answer.
To your surprise, you actually receive one. "I'm so glad I found you as soon as you left. I don't know what I'd do if they- Wait, Y/n, no one care up to you, right? No one's done anything to you?"
"W-what are you talking about...? I...don't understand..." How does he know about them? You'd tried so hard to keep it a secret, you didn't want to worry him with your problems. That, and you were scared they'd start to hurt Seokjin too. He's far too kind to deserve bullying. For that reason, you kept your own bullies a secret.
He waves a hand dismissively, "No, not Yoongi. I already know about him. No one else has come up to you, right? I don't know what I'd do if they-"
"You knew?!" You're a little more startled than you should be. You suppose it was inevitable that he found out. Wait... "They didn't hurt you, did they? I'm so sorry- it's my fault-"
He cuts you off, something rare for your friend. "No, the opposite. They didn't hurt me." He pauses, turning around to silence you with a hard stare. It's not quite a glare, there's no anger behind it, it's something else, something you can't quite place. "Is that the reason you didn't tell me?" You nod, suddenly unable to make eye contact with him. "Never keep things from me, Y/n- especially not things like this. If you'd told me earlier, I would've never had to-" Seokjin cuts himself off, suddenly going quiet.
"J-Jin...what did you do...? Did you get them in trouble or something?" You gulp. "Did you hurt them?"
The reaction you're given is the last one you'd expect. A wide, almost cocky grin forms on his face. "Oh, I hurt them. I hurt them bad."
"You idiot! You shouldn't have done that. You're too kind, and now you've hurt someone because of me. Oh no...Seokjin, I'm so sorry, I got you in trouble. I caused you so much trouble..." You're holding back sobs at this point. It's a sight that Seokjin usually hates, but somehow, seeing you crying out of worry for him isn't as bad as the other times you've cried. If he's honest, a small part of him might enjoy it.
"Don't worry about me. All I need in return is a 'thank you'. After all, this is your mess. It's only right that you thank me for cleaning it up." He's acting weird. Completely unlike the Seokjin you're friends with.
"Thank you, Seokjin. Thank you for protecting me." You pause, chewing nervously on your lip before you remember that Seokjin always scolds you for doing so. "But, won't they come back later and beat you up? Why would you anger them like that?"
Again, he laughs. You can't see a reason for it- there's nothing funny about bullies, about the danger of being singled out as their target. "Well, Y/n, there's one small thing I forgot to mention." His smile widens. "I killed them. They won't ever bother you again. So, no, I'm not too worried about them coming back."
