Shoto's POV

The waiting room of the hospital is bright and cold, the scent of cleaning supplies is heavy through the air. Everything is giving me a headache and worrying about Izuku is just making things worse. But I can't help but worry about him. Not after seeing him in his condition last night.

My legs are shaking in my chair and I'm biting my nails. Why hasn't anyone given me any news about Izuku?

After what felt like a lifetime of waiting a doctor comes out and tells me I can see Izuku now. I get up and my legs feel like noodles when I try to walk. Somehow I reach Izuku's room.

I can't hold back my tears anymore and break out into sobs. I run to Izuku's bed and lay my head in his lap. Even when he's barley awake and terribly injured he still comforts me. It works but only a little. I can't control my crying, I can barley breathe through my sobs. I begin to hyperventilate and shake un controllably.

"Shoto it's okay. Try and take deep breaths." He tries to put a hand on my cheek but realizes it's completely wrapped in bandages. He put both arms around my waist and pulls me up so I'm completely laying on him with my head nuzzled in his neck. "Hey, it's okay. I'm fine."

"You c-could have di-died" I choke out "The villains, they could have killed you." I pull him even closer to me. The thought of losing him terrifies me.

"I would never let that happen Shoto. No number of villains could ever take me away from you. I will never stop fighting. Do you know why?" I shake my head. "I will never stop fighting because I have you to fight for. You give me all strength I need." His words finally calm me down and I sit up to look at him.

"Izuku." I look directly into his piercing green eyes. I have to tell him now. "I love you." If feels so great to say the words that I've wanted to say for so long.

"I love you too Shoto." His words make me feel like I'm floating on air. I've never been so happy in my life. He pulls me back down to his chest and kisses me deeply.

Izuku's POV

My heart skips a beat. Shoto just told me he loved me. Is this a dream? He loves me!

"I love you too Shoto." I can't believe this is actually happening. This is the greatest moment of my life. Even better than when I got into UA.

A few minutes later, Shoto is laying right next to me on my hospital bed when a nurse comes in with a tray of food for me.

"Hey Sho, this might be an awkward question, but could you help me eat? My arms are completely bandaged."

"Of course. I'll always take care of you Izuku." He starts feeding me lunch while we have a nice conversation. He mentions that a few of our classmates are in the same hospital as me and everyone else who wasn't injured are planning to visit tomorrow. I can't wait to see the rest of our classmates.

"So where's your mom? Has she visited you yet?" Shoto asks and I finish my lunch.

"She couldn't get off of work but she said she would be here later today." I'm a little worried for her to see me like this. I know she worries a lot and I know that this will just make it worse.

"Can I ask you another awkward question?"

"What is it Izuku? Are you alright." His voice is filled with concern.

"Well I was just wondering if you told anyone in your family about us? I'm only asking cause the thought of my mom made me think of it. I mean it's okay if you haven't. I haven't told me mom either." Oh great I'm ranting now.

"Izuku. Slow down. I can barley understand you. But um, no. I haven't told me family."

"Oh okay. Um would you want to. I mean you don't have to tell your family but I've been thinking that I'm ready to tell my mom. And I wanted to do it with you but only if you're okay with it too."

"I'd love to be there when you tell her. When were you thinking about telling her? You always have a plan for everything." Shoto compliments me.

"Well I was thinking we could do it sometime next week since we would be dating for a few months by then. You know, maybe Saturday or Sunday you could come over for dinner and then we can tell her." I tell Shoto my plan.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Shoto smiles at me and it makes me heart go wild.

"Great! I'll ask her now." I try to reach for my phone but then remember my dandages. "Oh could you possibly text her? I'll tell you what to say." Shoto grabs my phone and after asking my mom, Shoto climbs back into my bed with me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I love him so much.
