Carlisle recounts the history of immortal children for Bella. :The immortal children were very beautiful, so enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned, they couldn’t be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation, stories spread, the Volturi were forced to intervene. And since the children couldn’t protect our secret, they had to be destroyed. The creators grew very attached, fought to protect them. Long established covens were torn apart, countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families, lost." Carlisle explains

Flashback
Irina’s mother was one of the creators of immortal children.

"So the Denali’s mother made an immortal child?" Bella asked. "Yes. And she paid the price." Carlisle tells her.

The Volturi decapitate Irina’s mother and burn the immortal child.

"Well, Renesmee and Reina are nothing like those children. They were born, not bitten. They grows every single day." Bella says defensively. "So can’t you just explain that to the Volturi?" Jacob asks. "Aro has enough proof in Irina’s thoughts." Edward answers. "So we fight." Paul says. "Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one could stand against Jane. "Alec’s even worse." Alice adds. "Well then we convince them." Bella says. "They’re coming to kill us, not to talk." Emmett tells her. "No, you’re right. They won’t listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, we have friends all around the world." Edward says. "I won’t ask them to fight." Carlisle tells him. "Not fight, witness. If enough people knew the truth, maybe we can convince the Volturi to listen." Edward explains.

Esme turns to Carlisle. "We can ask this of our friends." Esme tells says to Carlisle as they all pack to go and gather as many vampires as they can. "At least we get to go to London again, we haven’t been there in a long time." Esme jokes. "Alright, let’s get this show on the road." Jacob says he then sees Sam walking up the house; Sam gives Carlisle a note. "Alice asked me to give you that. She and Jasper crossed our lands to the ocean last night." He informs them. Carlisle reads the note and looks at the others. "Carlisle?" Esme questions. "They’ve left us." Carlisle said. "Why?" Rosalie asks. "She didn’t say." He replied. "Can I see that?" Bella asks. Carlisle gives Alice’s note to Bella. "Gather as many witnesses as you can before the snow sticks to the ground. That’s when they’ll come." She read. Bella turns the note over and sees that it’s a page torn from ‘The Merchant of Venice’ by William Shakespeare.

Bella and Edward drive up to the Denali’s house, Edward gets out of the car and walks up to them.
Bella, Jacob, Renesmee, Paul, and Reina wait in the car as Edward talks to the Denali’s, Bella turns to Renesmee and Reina. "What if they don’t like us?" The twins ask worriedly in unison. "They’ll love y'all." Paul and Jacob reassure.
"They will, once they understand y'all." Bella adds. "They just haven’t met anyone like y'all before." Paul says Jacob nods in agreement. "Okay." Bella says and they all get out the car and the Denali’s are immediately shocked at seeing Renesmee and Reina. "The Volturi will come for all of us." Kate says. "You get those things out of here!" Tanya tells them. "They're not what they look like." Edward tries to explain. "This is a crime!" Tanya says. Tanya suddenly attacks Edward and he quickly pushes her aside, Kate then attacks Edward but Bella quickly jumps in and throws Kate aside, then both Kate and Tanya move to attack Edward and Bella. Reina holds her hands out closing her eyes pressing her lips in concentration stopping any further attacks.

"They have blood in their veins, you can feel their warmth." Edward explains. "I can feel it." Carmen says. "I’m their biological father, Bella’s their mother." Edward tells them. "Impossible." Kate says in disbelief. "It’s true. They were born while I was still human." Bella says. "I’ve never heard of such a thing." Eleazar states. They can show you if you let them." Edward offers as Jacob and Paul bring Renesmee and Reina towards the Denali’s. "Tanya, you owe us this much. We’re all under a death sentence because your sister didn’t let us explain." Edward tells her. The wolves bring the twins closer to Tanya, the girls go to place their hands on Tanya’s cheek. "Don’t be afraid. This is how they communicate." Bella assures. The twins touch Tanya’s cheeks, letting her feel their memories, Tanya suddenly understands and turns to her family. "It’s true. They're not immortal." Tanya tells her family.

Carlisle and Esme visit another vampire family in Egypt. "Amun, please!" Carlisle begs. "I can’t help you, Carlisle." Amun says. "I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t urgent." Carlisle tells him. "You must go." Amun replies. Suddenly Amun’s son, Benjamin uses his powers to make the water in their small house pool rise up like a wall to block the doorway. "I’d like to hear about it. I never get to meet any of Amun’s friends. He likes to keep me hidden." Benjamin says. "I can’t imagine why." Carlisle replies. Benjamin makes the water fall back into the pool, and he walks up to Carlisle and they shake hands. "Carlisle." Carlisle introduces himself. "Benjamin." Benjamin introduces back.back in Forks, we see Renesmee touching Benjamin’s cheek, then Benjamin takes Renesmee’s hand and uses his power to entertain her Reina copies his actions. "Benjamin can influence the elements and now so can Reina." Edward explains to Bella. "And here I get super self control." Bella says sarcastically. Soon they all hear something fast move in the woods getting closer to them, suddenly we see two female vampires appear out of nowhere. "Who are they?" Bella asks. "Senna and Zafrina, from the Amazon." Edward answers. Suddenly Reina falls to her knees in pain. "Paul!" She calls out within seconds he is by her side, he instantly realizes what's happening. "Rein, you can't fight it just let it happen." Paul tells her after telling the vampires to back up. "How?" She questions in pain. "Just picture yourself as a wolf." He tells her. Soon she is in wolf form shocking everyone. Once she looked into Paul's eyes everything shifted he was the only person that mattered she knew she loved him before but now it was so much stronger. After Paul gives her new clothes she goes into the wood to shift she comes back older than before.
