"Good afternoon Erwin, you needed to see me? Afternoon Hanji."

Hanji nodded and gave Ren a smile. Erwin began shuffling through paperwork and placed an envelope in the only available space in his desk.

"Good afternoon Ren, now that you are here I can begin on why I brought you both here and I know both of you are busy, so I am just going to cut to the chase. There is a fundraiser in Wall Sina for the Scouting Legion and the two of you are going to go with me, just in case things get out of hand."

Ren and Hanji closed there eyes and quietly sighed in sync. Hanji crossed her arms. "Oh no not one of these things, I hate going, those people are just all pretentious, rich assholes."

"I know you don't like to go to these events, but the Scouting Legion is in dire need of funds, and we have to remind these people why we need their money to continue on with the fight for humanity."

"Erwin, why do I need to go? Couldn't you take Levi? I would think they would be more interested in Humanity's strongest man, how am I going to convince them that they should continue funding us?"

Erwin turned towards Hanji, "May I please have a moment of privacy with Ren?" Hanji nodded. Once she closed the door, Erwin got up and began to walk towards the front of his desk where he leaned against it with his arms crossed.

"Ren, you know why I can't take Levi, he would scare away potential investors. Humanity's strongest women is just as interesting as a man. Please, would you go with me?" He walked up to her and grabbed her hands and his thumbs started to rub against her knuckles. "You know I don't like to beg." She looked at him and stared into his crystal blue eyes that she adored so much.

"I hate it when you do that sad puppy dog face." She closed her eyes and was already regretting the answer she was about to give.

"But alright, I'll go but you do owe me one Erwin." She felt a pair of lips against hers. He wrapped his arms around her waist.

Erwin pressed his forehead against hers and smiled, "Thank you. The fundraiser is tomorrow, do you have something to wear?"

"Thanks for the insult. Yes, I have something in the closet. But I'll see you later, I need to get back. Levi will sense I am gone and start taking things from me."

Erwin let out a chuckle and Ren turned and walked away, he followed her to the door and opened it for her. She jumped slightly as he softly gave a slap on her rear. She gave him a glare but couldn't resist laughing a bit, seeing him this playful always brought joy knowing that he always isn't dwelling in the dark thoughts.

The day of the fundraiser, Ren was nervous for what would be in store. She walked out and saw Hanji and Erwin waiting for her next to the carriage.

"Well you two sure clean up nicely." Ren smiled.

"I can say the same for you." Hanji giggled. "Such a pretty gown!"

Erwin helped her up in the carriage and whispered how great she looked in her ear. The ride to the party was mostly silent with Erwin sometimes going over information about some of the attendees. A few hours later they arrived in the capital and was taken aback how large the house was. Ren's eyes still focused on the house as she stepped outside the carriage and slowly entered inside. At this time, Erwin stepped slightly in front of her, leaving her with Hanji. He didn't want anyone to know their intimate relationship so much as to switch his body language and demeanor, same as he would be with her in HQ.

The grand hall was nothing like Ren had ever seen before, with nobles talking amongst each other. Music and smells from the food being passed around filled the hall. Erwin quickly brought her a glass of wine. Her eyes still scanned the grand room as he talked with potential investors.
