[Clara's pov]

"Jadis the Queen of Narnia". A dwarf with grey hair and a little red hat shouted into the crowd.

I gritted my teeth. She wasn't a Queen; she doesn't belong here. The rest of Aslan's army thought so too. We had gathered along the sides of the path and all of us, apart from Aslan, Oreius and my siblings were shouting horrible insults towards the Witch. She deserves it.

"Empress of the Lone Islands". The Dwarf continues introducing the Witch.

The Witch was being carried on a throne sort of thing, by four cyclopes'. Even with insults being spat at her, her eyes never left Aslan. He was sitting on his stone podium and was looking incredibly calm. Jadis was wearing a floor length white dress and had a crown made of ice; what more could you expect from someone who lives in an ice palace. But as she passed us, I thought I saw her eyes flicker over to Edmund and I. That same cold feeling returned but it felt stronger and it made me want to vomit.

The Witch was lowered, and she surprisingly, gracefully walked over to Aslan. He greeted her on all fours, to me this made him look even more king like. I noticed Edmunds eyes, they showed so much terror and yet so much anger towards the witch.

"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan". The Witch started.

I growled at her, before putting a comforting hand on Edmunds shoulder. The crowd gasped though, and most creatures looked at Edmund. How dare she call him out.

"His offence was not against you". Aslan replied.

"Have you forgotten the laws upon which Narnia was built?". The Witch smirked, if I could I'd kill her then and there.

"Do not cite the deep magic to me, Witch". He growled. "I was there when it was written".

"Then you'll remember well that every traitor belongs to me. His blood is my property". The sound of metal sliding against metal next to me made me flinch.

But it was only Peter. He had drawn his sword and stepped defensively in front of Edmund.

"Try and take him then". He threatened.

"Do you really think that mere force will deny me my right... little king". She taunted him and Peter paused. "Aslan knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands, all of Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water".

The crowd gasped again; I was tempted too as well. I didn't want that Narnia to burn and flood, if that's what she meant. No one did.

"That boy will die". The Witch pointed to Edmund. "On the stone table... as is tradition".

I went rigid. Edmund flinched. Lucy and Susan looked terrified and Peter gaped. No one would touch Edmund if I could help it. If the Queen wants him, she has to go through me. If the Queen wants Narnia, she'll have to go through all of us.

"You dare not refuse me". The Witch spoke to Aslan after the noise from the crowd died down.

"Enough". Aslan told her. "I shall talk with you alone".

Aslan went into his tent, the Witch following him. The flap fluttered in the wind and then, the talking began. I was worried. I'd always give up my life to save my siblings but what if that's what the Witch wants too. She might ask Aslan that and then I'd have to go and be killed. What would happen then? I couldn't complete my prophecy, but then again, I'd save Edmunds life. Aslan won't let any of us die though, he'll show the Witch.
