[Clara's pov]

"Clara, Clara wake up". Lucy was jumping on my bed and I sat up groggily. "I went to Narnia again to see Mr Tumnus and this time Edmund came too".

She had the biggest smile on, and I wasn't offended that she didn't wake me to go see him, just glad that Mr Tumnus was alright; judging by Lucy's excited state.

"That's great Lu. Lets go wake the others". I put on my slippers and woke up Susan, while Lucy ran to get Peter.

"It's there, it's there, it's really there". Lucy called from the boys' room. Susan, Edmund and I joined the two and Susan was quick to scold Lucy.

"You've just been dreaming Lucy". Susan sat on Peters bed while the rest of us crowded around it.

"But I wasn't dreaming. I saw Mr Tumnus again and this time Edmund went too". All eyes turned to Edmund; he was standing a little far back with a sheepish expression.

"You... You saw the faun?". Peter asked and Ed shook his head.

"Well, he didn't actually go there with me, he... What were you doing Edmund?". Lucy questioned.

"I was just playing along. I'm sorry Peter, I shouldn't have encouraged her, but you know what little children are like these days, they just don't know when to stop pretending". Edmund had a smug smile on his face.

If he wasn't my brother, I would've slapped him. Lucy sobbed, before running out of the room in tears. Susan and Peter scoffed at him and ran out of the room to chase after Lucy. Which I did too, but not before I whispered in Edmunds ear, "Then why is there snow in your hair?".

I entered the situation the same time as The Macready; the name we had given to Digory's housekeeper.

"You children are one shenanigan from sleeping in the stable". She yelled, but I couldn't take her seriously in her pink dressing gown. Lucy was hugging the Professor around his bulging belly and was still bawling her eyes out. "Professor. I'm sorry. I told them you were not to be disturbed".

"It's alright Mrs Macready, I'm sure there is an explanation. But first of all, I think this one is in need of a little hot chocolate". The Macready gently guided Lucy away to the kitchens and I stood there awkwardly, next to Digory as Susan and Peter tried to sneak away.

With a cough, they turned back around. He made us follow him into his study and I noticed Peter was eager to leave.

"You seem to have upset the delicate internal balance of my housekeeper". Digory pointed out, pouring himself some tea.

"We're very sorry sir, it won't happen again". Peter tugged on Susan's arm to get her leave, but she stayed still.

"It's our sister sir, Lucy". Susan said to Professor Digory.

"The weeping girl". He added.

"She's upset". Susan continued.

"Hence the weeping". I muttered, earning a smile from Digory and a glare from Peter.

"It's nothing we can't handle sir". Peter said quickly. This wasn't the time to try and be mature Peter, that time was when Lucy was upset.

"Oh, I can see that". I smirked at the Professors sly comment.

"She thinks...". Susan began, but I cut her off.

"Knows".

"Thinks she's found a magical land". Susan acted like I hadn't said anything. "In the upstairs wardrobe". This caught Digory by surprise, because he stood up and walked over to us.

"What did you say?". He asked in a surprised voice.

"Lucy and Clara think they've found a forest inside it". Peter explained.

"They won't stop going on about". Susan complained and I narrowed my eyes at the two. It's their fault that Lucy's upset.

"What was it like?". He asked me, but Susan spoke instead.

"Like talking to a pair of lunatics". She replied.

"Thanks Su, but he's talking about Narnia". I snapped, at least someone believes us. This someone also happens to have the highest authority in the house. I explained what happened in Narnia and Digory looked anything but surprised.

"You're not saying you believe them?". Peter asked, still not believing us.

"And you don't?". They seemed stumped at the question.

"Well of course not. I mean logically, it's impossible". Susan pointed out and I sneered.

"What do they teach you in school these days?". Digory asked, sounding a little bit annoyed.

"Edmund said they were pretending". Peter said, although he looked confused.

"Which we're not". I insisted, but the Professor shot me a quick look to tell me to calm down.

"And he's usually the more truthful one, is he?". He asked Peter.

"No". He admitted. "This would be the first time".

"If they're not mad and they're not lying then logically, we must assume Clara and Lucy are telling the truth". The Professor lit his pipe and I would have to remember to thank him later for sticking up for us.

"You're saying that we should just believe them?". Peter asked, glancing towards me. "I know they're very truthful, but I just find it hard to believe all that wardrobe stuff".

"Lucy and Clara are your sisters, aren't they? Your family, so you might just try acting like one". I smirk smugly.

Although Lucy and I had not forgiven our siblings, we had calmed down enough to join them outside in the nice weather. Peter and I usually are the ones who have to convince the others to play games with us, since we are the only ones who like sport. But today, I felt like sitting out on their game of cricket. Instead, Lucy and I sat in the shade underneath a tree; reading. I had smuggled the mysterious book out of the library and was constantly reading it now.

In fact, I was in such deep concentration that I almost didn't hear the loud noise, of shattering glass. I looked up at Peter and Edmund. It looked like Edmund had hit it so hard it went through a window. We're dead if the Macready catches us. The five of us ran into the house, all the way up to the third floor. We found a suit of armour lying on the floor; a massive dent in it's back and shards of glass around it.

"Well done, Ed". Peter scowled at our little brother.

"You bowled it". Edmund fired up.

"What on earth is going on up there?". A familiar voice shouted from downstairs. I cringed internally, already knowing who it was.

"The Macready". Susan cried; dread filled her voice.

"C'mon, run". I told them and we ran away from her booming voice.

Out the door, down some stairs. Up another set. Through the library, out the saloon, round a balcony. Lucy in the lead. We tried all of our bedroom doors, but all of them were locked. We neared the spare room and Edmund turned the handle desperately. It opened; relief flooding through my veins, we might have a chance to escape now. Edmund and I opened the wardrobe door.

"Come on". We yelled.

"Oh you've got to be joking". Susan muttered. The Macready's footsteps got louder, and Peter pushed her and Lucy to the Wardrobe and ushered them in.

Edmund hopped in and then me last. I shut the door, when I heard a creak outside the spare room door. At last, Peter and Susan would realise that Lucy and I weren't lying.

"Ouch! Get off my toe".

"I'm not on your toe".

"Move back".

"Shut up".

"Will you stop shoving?".

"I'm not shoving, it's Edmund who's shoving".

While my siblings continued to complain, I was subconsciously pushing them further  into the wardrobe, so hopefully, Narnia would come very soon. I pushed past them and Lucy and I ran into Narnia like it was home. The air here felt fresher and I felt a new sense of strength fill me.

Next came Peter and Susan, who tumbled out and landed on their behinds. Their jaws literally dropped when they saw where they were. They were speechless as they looked around; wonder filling their eyes.

"Impossible". Susan muttered, looking at everything around her.

"Don't worry". I said with a smirk. "I'm sure it's just your imagination".

My words brought Peter and Susan back to reality and they looked down at Lucy and I with apologetic faces.

"Although I believe you two now, I don't suppose sorry would quite cover it?". Peter asked sincerely.

"No. It wouldn't". Lucy mumbled, sneakily glancing at me and I nodded my head. "But this might".
