Shishikoma and Goldenyan knew their purpose in life,to help people in need. They were always busy helping and saving others. Their son Goruden,was usually alone. It made him wonder,what was his purpose? He was aware that he wasn't made naturally and was made from a scientific experiment. It made him feel ashamed,like he didn't belong anywhere. His parents suggested that he should have fun and sent him to an amusement park. He walked around,looking at his surroundings. Goruden thought all of it was pointless.Someone approached him,which took him by surprise.
"Hello Holly."Goruden spoke.
Holly replied,"Hey,whatcha doing here?"
"My parents thought it would be good for me to have some fun."Goruden stated.
Holly asked,"Alone? That's not really fun."
"They're busy at the moment,with their duties. I had no one else to go with."Goruden replied.
Holly suggests,"How about you hang with me. I came here alone and thought I would have some fun. Since we're both alone,let's have fun together."
"Alright. That sounds reasonable."Goruden said.
Holly lead him around the park.Goruden suddenly stops.
"What's wrong?"Holly asked.
Goruden says,"Everyone is staring at me. It's because I'm different."
"That's not true. You're unique."Holly said.
Goruden stated,"Still the same definition as being different."
Holly looks at him,"Being half Yokai and half robot is pretty cool."
"I'm not natural. I was made by your parents."Goruden replies.
Holly shrugs,"So were Megumi and Kanja."
"But they're fully Yokai.I'm not."Goruden sighs.
Holly said,"That's what makes you special. You're mom is fully a robot and she seems proud of it."
"I suppose you're right.....but I still feel left out."Goruden mumbled.
Holly grabbed him by the hand,"That's why I want you to hang with me. Come on,it'll be fun."

She took him around the park,to see what they should do.
"Is there anything you want to do?"Holly asked.
Goruden said,"I'm not sure. It all seems pointless."
"Don't be like that....."Holly paused and saw a rollercoaster,"Let's go on that ride!"
She and Goruden got in line and waited. Eventually,it was their turn. They got on the rollercoaster and rode it. After they got off,Holly cheered,"That was a blast! What did you think about it?"
"It was ok."Goruden said.
Holly was shocked,"What? It wasn't fun?"
"I'm not sure what fun exactly is."Goruden stated.
Holly groans,"I guess your parents never showed you....."
"I apologize if I made you upset."Goruden replied.
Holly sweats,"No! It's ok! I just want you to have fun."
"I just want to know my purpose in life."Goruden sighed.
Holly said,"I'm sure your purpose right now,is to be a kid like you're supposed to."
"If that's true,I'll try to act like a normal kid."Goruden pondered.
Holly smiled,"I guess that's a good start."
"I've never been around my family much to know how to act."Goruden stated.
Holly questioned,"Not even your aunt,uncle,or cousins?"
"I mostly interact with my parents. My aunt hates me,so does Inutan."Goruden says.
Holly replied,"That's not true! I'm sure they still love you!"
"No. Inutan says she hates me and Aunt Kontan called me a freak,but.....not to my face,I heard her saying it to my parents."Goruden was saddened by this.
Holly felt bad,"I'm sorry.......I didn't know......"
"It's alright. Uncle Torajiro and Kessho still like me." Goruden smiled a bit.
Holly replied,"That's good to hear. Jibanyan told me Kontan was always a jerk. I guess her personality rubbed off on her daughter."

"I suppose we should have fun now." Goruden suggests.
Holly grinned,"That's a great idea! I'm glad you're willing to try."
They venture out and ride more rides. After a while,they took a break and had lunch.
"That was awesome! What was your favorite ride?"Holly asks.
Goruden thought,"I suppose the teacups were the most interesting."
"That's great to hear!"Holly grinned.
Goruden questioned,"Why were you here alone?"
"Oh.....my parents were busy. They had tickets to go to the amusement park today,but I had to go on my own. They said I should have as much fun as I can. Especially before I make up my mind about college and start work."Holly explained.
Goruden listened,"I see.....college is challenging,correct?"
"Of course. That's why I'm trying to relax,before I start it."Holly sweated.
Goruden nodded,"I wish you the best of luck."
"Thanks."Holly smiles.
They went on and got lunch. They sat at a table and started to eat.Goruden noticed Holly was eating something,that was unusual to him.
"What are you eating?"Goruden questioned.
Holly replied,"Huh? You never seen cotton candy before?"
"Negative. What is this cotton candy made of?" Goruden asked.
Holly shrugs,"I guess......sugar?"
"Hmm......my parents limit me on sweet things,such as sugar."Goruden stated.
Holly was disappointed,"Aw why?"
"They said it was bad for me. They will let me eat ice cream every once in awhile,but I really never tried anything else."Goruden explains.
Holly handed him some cotton candy,"Here,try some."
"Are you sure about this?"Goruden asked.
Holly nods. He took a bite from the cotton candy and was speechless.

"What's wrong? Is it bad?"Holly was confused.
Goruden's eyes lit up and responded,"This is amazing! I love it!"
"Really?"Holly was being hopeful.
Goruden replied,"I've never tasted anything like this before! I want more!"
"Here,you can the rest of mine."Holly gave the cotton candy to him.
Goruden ate it quickly.
"That was fast...."Holly sweated.
Goruden said,"That was the best! Thank you!"
"I'm glad to see you this happy."Holly smiled.
Goruden mumbles,"So,that's what being happy is like...."
"Let's go and play some games. I'm sure you'll like it."Holly suggested.
She took Goruden to play some carnival games. He seemed interested in them and was actually having fun. They played until it got dark. Much later,they left the amusement park,as Holly took Goruden home.
"Thank you for walking home with me." Goruden says.
Holly nods,"No problem,anything for a friend."
"We're friends?"Goruden asked.
Holly grinned,"Of course!"
"Thank you! I had the best day ever!"Goruden hugs her.
Goruden's parents were watching them,by the front door.Goruden turned and saw them. He runs to them and gave them a hug.
"Mom! Dad! I had fun today!"Goruden smiled.
Goldenyan responded,"I'm very happy for you son."
"We saw each other at the amusement park and I offered for him to hang with me."Holly explains.
Shishikoma said,"Thank you so much. We felt terrible for leaving him alone."
"Holly and I are friends now!"Goruden stated.
Goldenyan says to Shishikoma,"Did you hear that? He made his first friend."
"I'm so happy for you Goruden. Thank you Holly,we haven't seen him this happy before."Shishikoma smiled,softly.
Holly replied,"Of course. I can hang with Goruden anytime."
As she left,she seem Goruden smiling big,as he was hugging his parents. Holly felt like she did a great thing.
