~ "It was Loki. Pietro said. Cutting Rylan off. ~
Rylan frowned. "What." It came out more as a statement than a question. She was filled with both anger and concern for her friend. However, it was plainly obvious that not everyone felt the same.
"Loki?" Hades asked. Not so much in concern but in a jealous sadness. Rylan sighed seeming more stressed than before but still trying not to show it.
"The amount of-" She cut herself off. Thinking best to help her friend before it was too late. "Okay. C'mon. I'm'a save him. Again." Her voice had a mix of panic, worry and sarcasm. The sarcasm was an obvious effort to hide the other emotions she had much experience in feeling.
"Aww but-" Hades, on the other hand, didn't seem to like the plan much. Instead wanting his girlfriend to stay with him. Rylan on the other hand shut him down compleatly. Instead choosing to go and help her friend.
"You can come if you want. Gonna need someone to hold the rope." Rylan stated as if it was the most casual thing in the world. However, the boys seemed rather confused with her statement. Not entirely understanding what it was she ment.
"You what?" Pietro was the first to ask. His tone showing that he was kind of taken aback by what she had said. Rylan just looked at him as if the answer was obvious. It seemed that too much time with Sherlock was causing her arrogance to sky rocket.
"Rope?" Hades asked. Causing Rylan to give him the same look she gave her speedster friend. She calms herself and sofens her look before coming up with an answer.
"Well yeah, you know, in case something goes wrong." she says as though the dangers of the portal meant nothing to her. Well, at least nothing to her health, but to others? It could mean death. Or, will be if nobody came to save them.
"Oh." Hades said, his emotions unclear. Rylan quickly gets them to follow her to the lab, where the portal was.
"what do we do?" Pietro had asked once they had got to the lab. Rylan looked ahead looking for something.
"Stay out of my way and don't follow me. You know, as usual." Rylan says sternly. Even if she may not have cared about a lot, she still didn't want her friends getting hurt. Hades snickered as if she was kidding but after seeing the look on her face he knew she wasn't.
"Okay, if I need y'all to pull me out, i'll pull on the rope three times, okay?" Rylan said while tightening a long piece of rope around her waist. Pietro quickly nodded his head and Rylan grinned. "Geronimo." She said, before jumping in.
There was a small silence between Hades and Pietro after that. Hades tried to break it but he didn't know to say. However, without looking at him, Pietro had broke the silence, "She's gonna find out you know." He told Hades.
Hades looked at Pietro fake confusion, "Huh?" he asked, pretending he didn't understand what Pietro was talking about. Pietro just rolled his eyes.
"She's gonna find out this was your doing you know." Pietro said coldly. Hades only smirked, thinking he had already won. "You think she won't?" Pietro asked, looking over at him. Hades didn't say anything. "So you doubt her abilities?" Pietro asked again.
"Not at all." Hades said, smirking.
