Sam's POV
The week with Gabriel had gone by in a blur. So much information had been presented to him at once, he often had to leave to his bedroom, sorting out everything he learned into sections in his brain. Despite this, he was quickly catching on to the ways of life around Gabriel, even his candy addiction.
It was the day that Castiel was supposed to come over that he felt was the most challenging. First, it had been snowing, the first time he's ever seen it. Gabriel had to sit him down and explain it. Turns out he had a lot more patience than anybody gave him credit for.
Then he had to go shower, and discovered what happens if you stay in there too long. Currently, he was curling up in the corner of the shower, his body shivering as the cold water splashed onto the ground in a steady spray. He let out a whimper before calling Gabriel's name, his arms crossed over his chest to preserve his warmth.
After a few moments later, he heard the door open and looked out of the shower, seeing Gabriel standing there with a concerned look on his face. "What's wrong, Sammich?" He asked, tipping his head as he moved over to the shower, though he stayed out of the line of the splashes.
Sam felt pricks in his skin and looked down, his eyes widening at the little bumps crawling over his skin. He looked at Gabriel with a bit of panic, another shiver traveling through his body. "The water turned cold and I'm not done with my shower." Sam said, pouting a bit in frustration and confusion. Gabriel only smiled softly and stuck his hand under the spray before pulling back a second later and shivering as well.
"Well, just step under the water then we'll get you warmed up, okay?" Gabriel encouraged, motioning to the water. Sam looked at him like he was crazy for a moment before he slowly moved his way under the water and shivering. Sam hurried, the ice cold water making his skin feel stiff, before he finally got out, where Gabriel had instantly wrapped a towel around his waist.
Sam pouted at Gabriel as he continued to shiver, watching as the shorter male grabbed another towel and dried Sam's hair then shoulders. He then wrapped the towel around him and led him to his bedroom, where he grabbed some fresh clothes.
"Put these on, then come down to the kitchen. I'll make something warm for you, okay?" Gabriel asked, smiling gently and brushing Sam's hair out of his face before walking out of the room. Sam watched him leave, wondering what he would be making. Driven by his curiosity and need to be warm, he got dressed quickly, finding the clothes to be warmer than he originally thought.
He heard a beep go off downstairs. What was that? He wondered as he slipped from the bedroom and down the hallway; he really wanted to know. The beep went off again, but this time closer. It was coming from the kitchen.
His eyes narrowed and his muscles tense. He vaguely wondered if something was trying to get in the house, but he was distracted when he saw a shadow by the doorway. He backed against the wall, though he remained ready. So when the figure walked out of the kitchen, he grabbed them and tossed them into the wall, planting his arm across his chest and neck. The figure let out a gasp, who he instantly recognized as Gabriel.
"Samsquatch! What are you doing?!" Gabriel gasped out, his heart beating clear against Sam's arm. He frowned, the images of a male...no, of himself, pinning a man to the wall, much like he had done to Gabriel. The only difference was that he drove a knife through the man's throat. Sam stepped back from Gabriel, his eyes wide as saw nothing but the blood pouring from the man's throat, pooling on the ground. It was terrifying.
