c h a p t e r : t h r e e

We got to know each other during eating and surprisingly Derek was cool and fun to be around with.

Now we are walking side by side towards the mall. We decided to buy some clothes since we have only what we are wearing right now.

"This feels like a fairy tale. Like the way we are trusting each other and just jumping into the deal instead of getting held back by something or someone, " I say waving my hands around to emphasize on my point.

"It does feel surreal. Like you don't have any worry in the world. But let me tell you Mia, you shouldn't just trust anyone."

"Yeah, I know. But we're now not just anyone to each other. We do know each other pretty well," I say referring to the more than two hours we spent at the diner just talking.

He showed me his pictures from college and of his family and friends while I listened intently. I didn't had any pictures but I told him many stories about my childhood.

Turned out he studies in the same college that I have gotten into. Shocking, I know.

I couldn't believe it at first but after a lot of no way, you're kidding me and swear to god, and after him showing his college pictures, I did believe him.

Coincidence? I don't know, but it's still kinda hard to believe.

So, the thing is he and his friends went to vacations in the holidays and he was now going back home, which is half an hour drive from the college.

He lives in the dorm though.

The mall is walking distance from the diner so we reach there shortly and decide to go to a casual wear shop.

"Let's go to buy your clothes first," Derek suggests.

"Ok."

Derek picks up a shirt with "purrrfect" written on it with a cat and says, "You have to get this. It'll look cute on you."

I laugh and flip him off, checking on some tees.

Then Derek shows me a summer dress, "What about this? You'll look pretty in this one."

I laugh and ask him that we should split so that it'll take us less time to buy everything, plus he was kind of annoying me.

I did ended up buying the purrrfect shirt.

Derek comes with a pile of his own clothes and then we go to the counter to pay.

After all the shopping we go to the food court and order a pizza.

"I love pizza so much," I moan biting on a piece of pizza.

"Me too. If I could eat one food for the rest of the life, that would surely be pizza."

"I know, right? Glad to find someone who loves pizza as much as I do." I say as I look around to see more people like us hanging around.
