Curse

Chapter Seven

Genji's PoV

I knew this mission was a bad idea. Right from the start when Raigan kissed me... now shes gone, Reyes took her.

~1 hour ago~

Raigan sat in front of me on a branch, it's been a few days since she joined me as my sidekick of sorts, and it's been a few minutes since she kissed me... very passionately like I did to McCree, don't let this get in the way.I felt the rumble of a truck shake the tree I was in. Raigan and I watched the truck as it moved across the gravel road. I nodded for her to follow as I jumped to tree to tree following the Talon truck. There was a high chance Blackwatch would be here thinking this would be Shimada Clan business but it's just Talon's shady gun business we've been tracking.
The truck stopped in a clearing  and we settled down on the same tree branch which hung over a river. Talon members got out of the truck and I saw motion of a shadowed figure in the forest before I could see it was two people... Moira and Reyes.
    Raigan was gone and I saw a faint navy glow of armor came behind Moira and Reyes... which only happened when... I launched out of the tree trying to push my old comrades out of the way. I was tossed into the river and was whisked away by the waves, but before I was swept away I saw Raigan struggling to get out of Reyes' grasp... and the Talon agents were gone.
     The cold water felt refreshing against my flesh that still was here, the Sentai armor was split open, that's what I confirmed after I was able to barely move my arm to my chest, my helmet was gone knocked off me to be exact. It was dark. My leg was stuck. I was going to die. Who would care. No one would.
    Genji Shimada.
    The younger brother.
    Playboy.
    A curse.
    Useless.
    Disgusting.
    A freak.
    Scum.
    Sentai.
    Genji...

    Hanzo's PoV

     "Shit! Fuck!" I gasped before going under to try to pry my brother free.
    The current was strong and the rock was too heavy... he's going to die on my watch, he already did once.
    "SOMEONE PLEASE FUCKING HELP ME!" I screamed when I went up for air.
    "Hanzo?" McCree came over he was full of blood, "we couldn't save his friend... they took-,"
    "DO I LOOK LIKE I GIVE A SHIT? GENJIS TRAPPED DOWN HERE!" I yelled at McCree and he dove into the water immediately, I went down too.
    I found myself holding up the boulder while McCree pulled the limp body out from it. We got to the land and McCree started to give Genji CPR as I looked away in shame as McCree yelled at Genji not to leave us.
    "Please.. Genji... I love you," and if McCrees words were magic water sputtered from Genji's mouth and his eyes shot open as he gasped for the sweet air of life.
   "I'm sorry..." Genji was now in tears, "Raigan is dead isn't she?"
   "Your friend?" Genji nodded and I felt terrible, "she was a few feet away from Reyes dead shot in the head..."
    "She has a whole life and because I tried to save murderers I took it away..." Genji looked down on the ground.
     Coleman returned beat up and bleeding but he was holding his hands to his wounds and letting the pale yellow work it's magic. I had to admit he looked pretty nice, Hanzo... this isn't the time for this! I scolded myself. 

     Jesses PoV

     I tried to stop Reyes but... he had pulled the trigger on the poor girl who was desperately trying to get out of his grasp... the whole time she was screaming Genji's name and telling him he had to live. I regret not being able to save her. She didn't deserve this. Stupid Jesse McCree, I guilted myself as I held Genji tightly as he sobbed at the death of his friend and his survival. If only I was faster. If only I had been there for Genji. If only.
    "I want this to be over," Genji muttered into my shoulder as we walked to the address Genji gave us for where he has been staying.
    "Don't be sorry darlin' this wasn't ya fault," I reassured him by stroking his head.
    "But it was. If I hadn't left, if I hadn't been selfish!" He cried out as he grasped my shirt pulling himself closer.
    "We don't know what will happen, but ya gotta hope we are alright in the end, you didn't know this would happen," I tried to calm him.
     Coleman had Raigan's body wrapped in a cloth cradled in his arms, she seemed so peaceful, besides the bullet in her head. I just hoped she was content in life. I hope Genji will be ok. I hope Hanzo can get his brother to trust him again. I hope Coleman will be treated as a person and not a failed experiment of his kind, and not a captive to Blackwatch's cruel ways. I hope we all make it. I hope me and Genji will make it. I hope I make it.
