You Are My Family (Rey) - Part 2

"REY ARE YOU OK-" you cut yourself off once you noticed that Rey was standing in the middle of her room.

A table was set up, completed with silk tablecloth, candles, and elegant looking meal set down on the table. The room smelt like heaven, things that you have never smelt before, but were it made your mouth water.

"I didn't think you'd get here so fast." She giggled softly as she finished setting the table. "You didn't think – I was told that you were on your floor, I thought you were dying!" You ran over to her and grabbed her arms firmly, stopping what she was doing.

"Are you okay?" You genuinely asked, even though you saw that she was okay. You still felt the need to ask.

She placed her hands in yours, her thumb rubbing small circles on the back of your hand. Placing her forehead on yours, she closed her eyes, she seemed so at peace. But her hands were clammier than usual. Almost like she was nervous and psyching herself up to something.

You glanced over at the table, looking at all of the food that she spent time making. "Did you make this for me?" A slight tremble to your voice, no one had ever done something like this for you before. She nodded her head, opening her eyes that were suddenly filled with nothing but love.

"It's all for you." Your heart fluttered; all the air left your body. You felt like you could float away. You bit your lip slightly as she led you to your chair.

"I thought you were with Finn." You said in a curious tone, needing to hear it from her whether or not if it's true. She let out an almost hardy laugh as she sat down.

"No! Finn is nice and all, but no. I'm interested in someone else." She said, her eyes glued to you as she took a sip of her drink.

"Oh, and who are you interested in?" You playfully asked, as you began to nibble on the delicious food in front of you .

"Well it's obvious isn't it?" You shook your head as you savored the new tastes that were being introduced to you. She became visibly nervous, almost like the confidence she had was thrown out of an air lock. You grabbed her hand, she was trembling.

"Hey, it's okay. You don't need to be scared." You said in a hushed tone. She took a deep breath, looking into your eyes.

"I was alone, almost all of my life. It was a cruel and sickening time, but I survived. Then you came around. Life may have been hard but being with you made life so much more bearable. The days were less exhausting, and the nights were less empty. I had no family. No real home." Rey couldn't keep her emotions from slipping out. Tears began to roll down her pale face.

"But you became my family. My home. You became my life. All the love and support you gave me throughout these years has held me together. I just wanted to tell you, that I have loved you. I have loved you for so long and I've been terrified about it." She let out a weak chuckle, looking at you with hooded eyes.

You were completely amazed; you felt your face become wet. Wiping your face, not realizing that you had began to cry from everything that she had said. You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing would come out. Your silence seemed to hurt her, her face dropped, and she looked sad.

You began to panic. You rushed up, reached over the table and slammed your lips against hers. Trying to tell her all of the things you wanted to with your lips. She was shocked at first but kissed you back passionately. Her dainty hands caressed your cheeks. You both pulled away needing to breath, falling down into the seats.

You couldn't help the big smile that was etched on you. Rey's face had become red, a permanent blush stained her cheeks. The light from the stars outside came in, giving her an angelic glow. You wanted to touch her lips... Her neck... Her body. You desired to be with her in this moment forever, never wanting it to end. As if she had been prodding around in your mind, she made her way over to you. Wrapping her arms around your neck, nervously playing with some strands of your hair.
