A Few Years Later

As the final bell rang for school i gathered up my things and headed out to locker. i could hear girls talking about going to the mall and planning sleep overs while some of the guys talked about going to a skate park. As for me i walked down the halls alone.

I never really bothered to make friends. mostly for the reason that i couldn't ever explain why they couldn't come to my house. so i stuck to myself and stayed out of everyone's way. the one thing i did allow myself to do was be apart of the track team. and boy was i fast.

I guess the hard workouts my father put me threw paid off for something. the coach said i was her star runner and i usually won all of my meets. their was a time or two that i allowed other teams to win.

Didn't want to show off too much. and i was never surprised that my father never came to a single meet. the one ones that did were my mother and my oldest brother Apollo. 

Hey Luna. some of the team is getting together tomorrow to do a few runs around the track. you should come if you can katie said from beside me. i dont see why not. what time i asked.

They said around three she said. alright i'll be there i said before closing my locker. i made my way out to my bike before hopping on it and riding home.

I took the short trail threw the woods so i could arrive home before my father. i tried to avoid as many awkward encounters with him as possible.

I never liked when he tried to pretend to be interested in my human life. when i arrived home i saw a car sitting outside of the house. and i knew that my mother had company.

Walking into the house i found my mother at the kitchen table with a few other women from out pack. Luna come here a moment please my mother said. i sighed and walked into the kitchen and smiled politely at the women.

Soon I noticed a new face sitting at the table. luna this is mary and her son david. she just moved here from ohio my mother said. its a pleasure to meet you ma'am i said smilng. its nice to meet you as well she said softly.

We were hoping if you weren't to busy maybe you could show david around the pack house. they are going to be staying here so make sure he feels welcome mother said. yea sure. i dont mind i said.

David smiled and followed me out of the kitchen. well david welcome to the sunny state i said. daivd laughed at that and smiled. thanks. its a new adjustment for me but i'll manage he said.

Where are you orignally from i asked. i was born and raised in LA. it was tough to leave but their arent to many friendly wolves their he said. well this is the pack house i said as we made our way inside.

Its where all the other wolves stay. weve go a game room and living room on the main floor. the kitchen is right down the hall next to the dinning room. the pool is out back by the training grounds.

The movie theater is downstairs in the basement. we have movie night ever saturday. the movie choice is picked by somebody new each time so everyone gets a turn. the rooms are upstairs and each one has its own bathroom.

We had those installed last year. it makes it easier for everyone so no one has to fight for the bathroom. we also have and indoor gym on the main floor i said.

Thats really cool. your pack house has more then my old pack did. well we like to make everyone feel comortable. would you like me to show you to your room i asked. yea that would be great david said as we walked upstairs.

So your on the third floor at the end of the hall. hey luna. showing the new guy around trevor asked. yes. david this is trevor. hes in the room next to yours i said.

Oh nice to meet you david said. you too dude. come join us for a run later if you want. we always go running around dust. you'll like it. se you around luna trevor said as he ran off downstairs.

You dont go running with the pack too david asked? no i could never keep up even if i tried. one of the faults in being human i said. your human he said somewhat shocked.

Yea. i'm the only human in the pack. anyways this is your room. your things will be brought up later or you can do it yourself id you want. training for the pack starts at dawn everyday.

Well i will see you around david. if you have any questions you can come and find me i said. yea of course. thanks for the tour and hospitality luna he said smiling. i nodded and left him to explore on his own.

Something tells me hes gonna fit in just fine here. luna why are you in that pack house hunter asked as he walked in. i rolled my eyes and ignored him walking out of the house.

Hey i asked you a question he yelled pulling me back by my arm. i yanked my arm away from him and he growled. dont play with me hunter wolf or not you know i can still pin your ass to the ground. dont test me i said.

Yea right. like any human could ever be stronger then a wolf he said. i raised my eyebrow before kicking his feet out from under him and slamming him into the floor.

I could hear some of the other pack members laughing. dont have to be stronger to beat a wolf hunter. only smarter i said before walking away. hunter growled as he got up and ran at me.

But right before his paws could touch me his was thrown back. i looked over to see my brother Apollo glaring at him. you never attack a member of your own pack when their back is turned he yelled.

Shes not a member of this pack hunter yelled back. yes she is. She is the daughter of your alpha and you will do well to remember that he said angerly. hunter spit out some blood befor walking off.

Rolling my eyes I made my way home. i was glad i wasnt a wolf cause they could be so short tempered. one my way home i began to feel a little sluggish and tired. great now i'm probably getting a cold.

But the moment i started coughing i felt and extream amout of pain shoot threw my entire body. something was definatly wrong. falling to my knees i gasped for air feeling as though i couldnt breathe. i was so close to home but i couldnt walk. soon darkness sounded me as i fell to the ground uncontious.
