Chapter 1

"I'm just saying, why does Henrietta have to stay here?" Rem grumbled.

I had allowed Henrietta to stay in the guest room at my house. Rem wasn't happy with her new roommate. She claimed that Henrietta snored among other things. Rem just couldn't be nice to her.

"You know the reason, Rem," I responded.

Five minutes later, it was time for breakfast. Plates of bacon were there for everyone but Henrietta. Rem hadn't made any for her, So I did it. When had Rem become this vindictive?

"Are you okay, Remy?" Henrietta asked.

"Don't call me that!" Rem countered.

She angrily trudged off while grabbing her book bag. Before she left, Rem snarled at Henrietta before slamming the door.

"What was that about?" Henrietta asked.

"Your guess is as good as mine," I sighed.

I said goodbye to Henrietta and ran after Rem. I prayed she wouldn't do anything reckless...
