"Wow," I said. This girl sort of kinda hit the lottery with her thoughts of me. She was wrong about one thing though. Diamonds name wasn't Tiffany, I didn't know if I should correct her on it. We pulled up to the school and of course   all eyes were on us. Well today is going to be one hell of a day. Should've let the broad walk.

I looked at this nameless girl and I was about to ask her name again but she said thanks quickly and hopped out the car.

Sigh the best things come in weird packages.

"What the hell was she doing in your car,"Diamond yelled. "Getting a ride to school, obviously," I said. "You know what I don't know what you see in this Lauren girl but she's crazy, know that okay. She sees a therapist. So it's either me or the crazy bitch," Diamond babbled. "Her name is Lauren?" I asked.

Diamond looked quizzically, "Did you not hear me, keep up your fantasy with this girl and you'll lose me." I looked at Diamond and smiled as my boys came into view, "Cool" I said.

"Cool? Desmond I'm telling you I'll leave you and you're saying cool," Diamond raged. "Yep," I says and walked away.

"Yo, Dee," Reggie called. I walked over to my boys and we dapped it up. "Daniel, Ty,Reg, y'all ready for tonight?" I asked. "Like hell we are!" Tyrone hyped. "Nigga, leave that shit alone," I said. "Alright I'll call your mom's and tell her I can't hit tonight," Tyrone said. "Oo, burn" Daniel and Reggie said.

"Boy I'll," I said jumping at Ty. "Aye, I heard you feeling new girl," Daniel said. "Diamond gonna give that girl hell," Reggie said. "True, but were almost adults new girl has to be able to handle herself," I said. "So you are sweating shortie?" Daniel asked. The bell rung and I needed to get to my locker. "Bruh...get off my nuts about this," I said. We walked into the building and parted ways. I planned on learning more about Lauren but tonight was game night. Maybe I could get her to come.

I walked down the hall alone, it's actually more peaceful without Diamond walking and babbling about nothing. Then I saw her she was struggling with her locker.

"Lauren, is it?" I said leaning against a nearby locker. Lauren jumped then turned her head in my direction. "Stalker, is it" she said. I chuckled, I loved her reaction for some reason. "Silly girl," I mumbled. "Excuse me," Lauren said turning to face me. I ignored the stares girls were giving and their gossip. I walked up to Lauren and looked her in the eyes. With every step I took forward she took one back until she bumped into the lockers.

I placed my hands on the lockers by her head and I noticed I was slightly taller than her. I leaned down and said, "silly girl." Something in her eyes flickered and she shoved me back. I almost lost my composure. I caught myself and grinned at her. Fiesty, I like it. I moved back towards her ignoring the crowd that we'd attracted.

I moved back into the same position I was in previously her with her back against the lockers. I raised my fist and she watched me intently. Then I did it. I slammed my fist into the locker first at the top then the bottom. She didn't even flinch.  "Now, try opening it." I said.

She looked at me warily the turned to open the locker and walla it opened.

"How did you," Lauren started. "It was my locker  last year you have to do that every other week or you'll never get your books out," I said.  "Thanks," Lauren said looking down. "Come to the game tonight," I said. "That didn't sound like you were asking," Lauren said. "You're right, I'm telling you," I said walking backwards towards my own locker. "See you tonight," I said. Lauren stood there obviously battling her own emotions.

I walked down the hall and it seemed as though I was a new man. I was smiling like the Chester Cat. I opened my locker and as soon as I was about to close it. *slam*

"Well damn, thanks I guess" I said. Looking up to see who'd slammed my locker. "Don't go giving me orders, an invite would have been fine. Okay!" Lauren said and walked off. I watched her go down the hall then she turned around and came back. I leaned against my locker and waited for her next outburst.

"What time is the game," Lauren asked. "7:00, does that mean you're coming?" I asked. "No," she said and she turned away again. Man this girl truly is a character. I shook my head and smiled.

"Diamond, what are you going to do about that?" Stacy asked. "I don't know yet right now let's stick to plan A if she comes to the game." Diamond said. "No one comes to our school and fucks with tradition. Desmond is mine and will always be."
