Prologue

"Bye Desmond" Kira said

" No, Kirwa don't say bye I'll see you tomorrow otay?" said Desmond  

"Otay!"  

Kira had already started running to her house as Desmond said " I wuv you Kirwa."

Kira POV

I entered the house and went into the living room where my daddy would be if he were home. He wasn't there so I went to the kitchen to find Mommy but she wasn't there either. They had to be home because both of their cars were here.

Maybe they were dancing again...

-Flashback-

I walked in the house looking for mommy and daddy when I heard mommy making noises that I couldn't understand. I went down the hall and there behind the cracked door was mommy underneath daddy in weird dance positions. I'd seen some of them in mommy's yoga class but most of these were different.

I'd seen my daddy dancing with his clients at the office.

-Present-

I wondered if mommy knew that daddy danced with his clients too?

As I neared the bedroom I hummed a little tune. That was stopped when I saw a black figure standing above mommy and daddy's stiff bodies with a gun.

I ran to my room and I got under the bed. I heard footsteps and I covered my mouth. The person laughed and grabbed me by my feet. I screamed once then it was pitch black.

Desmond's POV

"Mommy?"  

"In the kitchen sweetie," Jasmine called  

"Mommy we need to talk," I said like a big boy I saw on television.

Jasmine smothered a laugh with her hand.

"Mommy I wuv Kirwa like you wuv daddy"

My moms expression changed to a serious facial expression.

" sweetie you're to young to understand what that means. And don't you know what love is," said jasmine.

"No mommy!" " I do wuv Kirwa, I'm going to make her a card now!"

To be only six years old I had drawing skills of a professional. Art was just one of my many gifts.

-The next day- 

I had woken later than usual. So I got dressed and grabbed Kira's card, went down the stairs, and out the door I went.

The only thing on my mind was Kira. When I neared her house I saw many police cars and some type of car that had black long bags being put in the back.

Mommy was collapsed in Daddy's arms.

"Mommy?"

Jasmine looked up and grabbed me. She held me so tightly I felt like there was no air in my body.

"Mommy you're wrinkling Kirwa's card," I complained.

"Sweetie, Mr. and Mrs. Hutley are sleeping..."

Last time mommy said sleeping grandma had died.

"Is Kirwa otay?" I felt the tears swelling.

"She's missing baby. They took her."

I felt hot tears streaming down my face as I ran past everyone telling me I couldn't pass. I collapsed on Kira's bed crying my heart out. On her bedside table was a picture of us and I took it.

"I have and always will wuv you Kirwa."
