Autumn
He offered me a cigarette but I took it out of his mouth instead. I breathe it in savoring it as though it was a happy memory. I let it go then looked down at him.
"You are magnificent", he placed a kiss that turned into a nibble on my jawline then slowly down my neck.
I smiled as I put the cigarette back in his mouth. I was still on top of him and he was still in me. I wiggled around to tease him.
"Uh fuck, you not tired yet?"
I was, I could go to sleep in his arms right now but I wasn't going to let him know that. "I can always go again."
"How about you stay here in my arms for tonight and in the morning we go again?"
That didn't happen because I didn't let him sleep. Instead, we fucked again. I lied there trying to think of a way to escape. I didn't want to be here in the morning. If I was going to stay why not forever. He wasn't a forever type of guy and I have really bad attachment issues so I called Violet. She didn't answer. Maybe she was sleeping. I then called Marilyn who was sleep too or out. Who would be up at 3 am? I called the only other person that was saved on my phone.
"Hello?"
"Hi."
"Who is this?"
"Autumn."
"Wha- how- it's three in the morning!"
"I know, I know. I...never mind I'm sorry."
"Wait! Why haven't you been called before now?"
"I did call you didn't pick up."
"Well, I guess you missed me pretty damn bad to mysteriously get my number, and call me at four wow you must be-"
"Shut up, I'm stuck somewhere and I wanna go home. You don't have to come get me. Just hearing your voice makes everything better." His end was quiet for a while. "Hello?"
"Where are you?"
"In Mobile somewhere."
"That's where my penthouse is."
"Yay, you are close."
"No, I'm at a friend's house. I will be there shortly."
I saw him pull up and I quickly got in the car.
"I leave you alone for a few days and you end up in a stranger's house."
"You were at some 'friend's' house."
"He's not just some friend, he is my best friend and is like a brother to me. Is there a reason why you left early? He probably would have made you breakfast."
"Yea or kicked me out on the street. I just didn't want to see him in the morning."
"So you just leave the poor guy?"
"What's wrong with that. Men do it all the time."
"Well yea but..." He sighed then asked, "So, do I take you home or to my place?"
"If I don't want to see him in the morning what makes you think I want to see you?"
"Wha- I don't know I just.... are you ok? Did he do something to you? I mean all I want is for you to be comfortable."
"Do you have something to do in a few hours or have to be somewhere in the morning?"
"No, why?"
"We can watch one movie at my house if you want after that you leave. You can not stay past six."
"Ok, that's fine."
