Close your eyes Beverly

(A/N: So I've decided to write individual chapters showing the members of the Losers club go off individually looking for their artefacts for the ritual. Also they will be written from that characters POV only.)

Walking back into the apartment block where I'd spent my childhood instantly bought back a wave of emotions mostly horrible ones, I stopped outside the door to my old flat and rang the doorbell a few seconds later an elderly lady answered the door she smiled and said 'Yes can I help you'. I took a step back and replied 'Sorry I thought I rang Marsh. I'm sorry for disturbing you' the woman took the chain off the door and said 'Alvin Marsh' I gave a quick nod and said 'Yes my father I grew up here', the old ladies smile disappeared as she said 'It's not for me to tell you but your father passed away, did you not know'. 

I looked down at the floor and said 'We hadn't spoken in a long time', the old lady stepped aside and said 'Why don't you come in and have a nice hot drink, it's the least I can do'. I walked into the flat Mrs Kersh smiled and said 'Why don't you have a look around whilst I heat the water' I walked through the flat until I came to what used to be my room and then I remembered that my artefact was hidden behind the skirting board, I took a pair of scissors from a nearby sewing box and dug them deep into a hole above the skirting board and pulled them towards me until it gave way. 

I reached in and pulled out a clear plastic bag which contained a packet of Cigarettes, the chain with the key to my flat on it and the poem Ben had written to me. Little did I know I was being watched, I put the plastic bag into my jacket pocket and walked back into the hallway and instantly I had a flashback. 

(Flashback)

(B/D = Beverley's dad - B = Beverly)

B/D: Today is your birthday, I can still smell your perfume. She'd still be alive if it wasn't for you

B: Mommy was sick, that's why she did what she did

B/D: She did what she did because she was ashamed of being your mother, you look like her but you are nothing like her. Come here....I SAID COME HERE! now close your eyes

(Beverly flinched as her father sprayed an entire bottle of her mothers perfume all over her and himself )

B/D: You know I would never hurt you, you know that right.

B: I'm sorry Daddy

B/D: You will always be my little girl

(End of Flashback)

I walked back into the lounge and sat with Mrs Kersh as she told me all about how her father had come to this country and joined the circus to provide for his family, a buzzer went off in the kitchen and Mrs Kersh stood up and said 'Oh I had some cookies in the oven when you came, now you stay right there I'll just be a moment'. I stood up and decided to have a look at some of the old photos that were hanging on the wall and one in particular caught my eye 

I took a deep breath as I heard Mrs Kersh say 'I was always daddy's little girl, what about you are you still daddy's little girl Beverly', from out of darkness came a skinny naked woman I ran as fast as I could until I reached the front door. As soon as I placed my hand on the handle I heard a door creak open behind me I slowly turned around and saw Pennywise in human form sat in what looked like his circus trailer putting on his clown make-up. 

He wiped a sponge of white paint around his face until it was all covered before saying 'You did not change your future, Stanley may have cheated death but you haven't. Now close your eyes Bev'  I shouted 'F*ck you' next Pennywise dragged his fingernails down from his forehead, over his eyes and down his cheeks until he had huge open gashes which oozed blood. Pennywise laughed sinisterly and said 'If you don't believe, then close your eyes and you will. 

I screamed and shouted 'LEAVE ME ALONE YOU FREAK', with those final words I yanked the door open and ran out of the flat into the main street.
