jurassic world (zach mitchell x reader)

there are so many kids around the baby dinosaurs that we just decide not to bother letting gray ride them, although you can tell he was disappointed. i notice zach gets annoyed at gray very easily "this place is for little kids" he says, a little pissed off he has to put up with this. when zach gets a little further away, i whisper to gray " we'll come back another day without your stroppy brother." to that he shows an excited smile, i don't understand why zach doesn't like his brother, he's such an adorable kid.

i see zach turn towards zara for a couple of seconds. "scatter" he says which confuses both me and gray. he quickly tells us to go, he grabs my hand and pulls me with him. we all start running away from zara without even looking back at her.

i tug him a little, signalling to head towards the gyrospheres. we all run the other direction one behind the other  until we get far away enough that it's safe to stop. we skip the queue straight away because of our wristbands. while we wait i catch zach staring at a group of girls waiting across from us. i get a little, i guess,  jealous that his hazel eyes are on them rather than on me.

"what do you thinks gonna happen if you just keep staring at them?" gray interrupts, a little upset that zach is ignoring what he's talking about. they giggle and get into the ride. "thanks man" zach says sarcastically. "you're welcome" gray replies, i giggle at his total obliviousness, sometimes it blows my mind.

the next gyrosphere arrives and i remember that there are only two seats. "i'll sit out of this one, i've been on it loads of times before." i say, kind of upset? "no problem, (y/n) can sit on my lap" zach says. i'm a little shocked since he only just met me. "unless you want to sit on gray" he says laughing, although gray gets a little panicked. "no i think i'll stick to you" i giggle.

gray gets in first then zach then me. i sit down and put the seatbelt around the two of us, zach snakes an arm around my waist and places the other on the joystick. the video of jimmy fallon appears on the screen that i've seen a thousand times, none of us really pay attention, were too in awe of the dinosaurs around us. brachiosaurus, stegosaurus, triceratops, they're all so calm and beautiful.

although we're interrupted very quickly by a warning on our screen "due to technical difficulty all our exhibits are now closed, please disembarked all rides immediately"

gray let's out a small huff, and zach looks at me with a small smirk on his face, be both know there is no way we are just gonna go back. "come on, we can stay out a couple more minutes"he says "but, they said it was closed" gray replies anxiously. "claire gave us special wristbands remember, we're vips, come on it'll be fun" i tell him. zach agrees and he pushes the joystick faster, we start zooming along with a heard of triceratops.

we slow down again, after a fair bit of time, when zach gets a call from claire. we have really bad signal in the gyrospheres so we can't really understand what she's saying, probably not very important, so we just hang up.

we role up to a broken fence that someone, or something must have knocked down. between the three of us we start debating wether to go through or not. "dude, off road" zach says sounding mildly impressed. "but they said to go back" gray says still with worry in his voice. "but you two need to get the full jurassic world experience." i tell them both. zach replies with a small "exactly" before steering us down the road.

we come up to a heard of ankylosauruses. "you're welcome, up close and personal with four... dinosaursuses?" zach says, clueless to the species. "ankylosaurus actually" i correct him. " we shouldn't be here, and there's five dinosaurs" me and zach are confused as we only see four. "aren't you supposed to be a genius or something? look one, two, three, four" zach asks "five" gray adds, pointing towards a huge set of teeth as sharp as knifes in the reflection of the glass.

it lets out a horrific roar and that's enough for gray to start yelling at us to move. it kicks us towards the heard, with the three of us screaming inside as we get tossed around from one animal to another. zach puts both his arms around my waist, and gray grabs my hand, as he starts to cry a little.

sorry this chapter was kinda short but i'm gonna end it here and pick it up next time, it's been a while since i've updated but i'll update quickly this for the next chapter.
