𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕥𝕠 𝕛𝕦𝕣𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕔 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕

we race through the thick forest and follow the dirt track straight ahead, hopefully it might lead us back to the park. as we're driving full speed i turn my head to glance over at zach, he has small smirk on his face as he briefly makes eye contact with me before focusing back on the road. causing me to turn my head quickly away for fear of my blush being noticed.

i hear gray let out a small laugh behind me. "shit" i mumble under my breath, he definitely noticed. "you alright?" zach asks a little bit confused. "yeah totally fine" i try to sound as genuine as possible but i think he heard a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

i let out a slight gasp as the vehicle comes to a complete halt at a fork in the road. "(y/n) left or right?" zach questions.  "i think i've come down this track with owen before, i'm pretty sure it's left" i have no clue wether i'm right or not. to be honest it was a complete guess. "LEFT IT IS" gray practically shouts as he punches his hand in the air a bit like super man. zach hits the exhilaration pedal and we're zooming once again. he rests one hand on my knee as we keep driving.

"what do you think aunt clair is doing right now?" i hear gray nonchalantly ask from behind, causing me to snap out of my thoughts. "i'm sure your aunt clair is doing all that she can to fix this, i'm honestly surprised it even happened in the first place." i reply. "maybe she's with your brother, you said that he works with the dinosaurs too, right? well then maybe they've teamed up or something" gray says. "it would be a good idea."

we approach the gate back onto the main lands so zach moves his hand from my leg back to the steering wheel and speeds up. we get thrown forward a little bit as we crash through the gate. a nervous laughter of relief bounces between the three of us. "okay that's it, we're back on property now" zach says.

"GO GO GO GO" gray starts yelling from the back of the car banging on the back of zach's seat. he checks the mirror and doesn't hesitate to speed up as fast as he can go. i turn to see what all the fuss is about and quickly become as panicked as gray. a huge flock (is that the right word??) of pterodactyls are manically flying close behind us.

we reach the entrance back into the park and yell at the top of our voices "OPEN THE GATES! OPEN THEM!" all of us practically screamed at the guards for the love of god to please open the bloody gates. they eventually opened them but it took long enough.
we jump out the car and run towards the park centre, we see zara running towards us but we keep running, she try's to keep up but is falling slightly behind.

we get to the main courtyard and stop to try and find a way through, there are people screaming and pterodactyls swooping overhead. gray tries to run forward but is dragged back by zac, narrowly missing being attacked by one of them. a second later we hear zara screaming from behind us, all three of us turn to see her being swept up by one of the pterodactyls and behind thrown around between them in the sky, it's a rather horrific sight to see. one of them misses and she lands directly in the mosasaurus pool, but they aren't done yet, we run towards he enclosure and witness her being tossed around and dragged under the water. the mosasaurus comes up from below and leaps out at them, swallowing her and the pterodactyl whole.

gray freezes in shock so me and zach have to grab him and pull him through the crowds of people towards shelter. in the distance i hear claire yelling "zach! gray!" and i drag them towards her voice. they eventually see her "aunt claire!" zach yells back, grabbing her attention. all three of us run towards her, then i see my brother "OWEN" i practically scream at him he, quickly notices me and try's to run towards us but is thrown down by one of the pterosaurs. i try to keep running to help him but zach grabs me by the hand and pulls me to the side when one of the pterodactyls comes towards us. we all land on the floor with it's beak coming face to face with us, once it stops and we're sure it's dead because it got shot, i quickly jump back up and run towards my brother, when claire grabs his gun off the floor and shoots the beast in the head, which i have to say is pretty badass. i stand with zach and gray watching from a distance as she helps him up and he dramatically kisses her, we all look away awkwardly and stare at the floor for a second.

"oh my god it's them" i hear clair say and we all look up again. " zach! gray! y/n! oh thank god thank god" she says with relief in her voice "are you okay? where did you go? what happened?" she asks us with a shaky voice, holding gray tight. zach interrupts "who's that?" he asks while gesturing towards owen. "that's my brother" i reply while quickly walking towards him, "y/n are you okay? i knew you could handle yourself." he says to me and we share a relived hug. while claire says "oh... he's just a work partner" she says while pretending me and the boys didn't see the kiss.

"hey, we gotta go" i remind them and we all promptly get out of the area. we walk through a few of the staff pathways and claire's phone starts ringing. i think it's the jurassic world headquarters because i hear her say "what do you mean use the raptors?" and i'm pretty sure i have an idea of what's going on. they want to use my raptors to hunt down that thing, they want to use them as weapons. i'm pretty sure owen thinks the same thing, as a few seconds later i hear him say "son of a b!tch". i have no time to converse with him though, as we can hear the huge metal door being forced open by desperate park guests and a pterodactyl.

"get in the car!" me and owen order at practically the same time. me, zach and gray hop in the back while owen and claire get in the front, owen is driving so the three of us yell at him to start the car. he backs up and turns into a nook in the road. we abruptly stop and zach says "this does not feel safe" and gray adds "can we stay with you two". "i am never leaving you as long as you live" claire says reassuringly. "no, no, no. we mean them." zach and gray point at me and owen causing me to laugh a little bit. "yeah. definitely them"

after all the people have cleared out the way, we start to drive over to the raptor enclosure. "okay claire, after all this you owe us an explanation, what the hell is that thing?" i ask. "well, the park needed a new attraction to keep the guests coming" "it's a park full of dinosaurs that have been dead for millions of years, isn't that interesting enough?" i retaliate " that's what i said" owen tells me "apparently not, our park admission rates were going down so mr masrani ordered that we create a new dinosaur, he wanted it to be bigger, better, and i believe he used the word 'cooler'. so we got to work and combined multiple different animals into one to create the Archaeornithomimus also known as the Indominus rex." "well what animals did you combine?" i ask "the base is a t-rex and the rest is classified" "so you made a new dinosaur and you don't even know what it is?" i ask, dumbfounded by the naivety. "well, y/n that's not my job, we leave it to the lab." "well keeping it contained is your job, so how did it get out?" i ask while being slightly passive aggressive. "it tricked us" she replied. "you mean you got outsmarted by a dinosaur that you created?" "yes"she simply yet reluctantly replied.

a/n: i will be updating more regularly now, i just completely lacked the motivation to write for a while but i'm back now!
