Once, there was a garden...

Due to a grave trespass, man was forbidden to ever set foot there again.

However, The Creator knew that the animals needed someone to take care of them.

He infused the mind and knowledge of man into a select few, who were given control to look over the land.

The Creator also blessed them with the ability of a common tongue amongst all the animals.

Over time, the animals who were given this knowledge learned how to shapeshift between their animal counterparts and into the form of man.

They quickly learned how to farm, harvest and rule over the others.
They erected settlements...
Developed trade...
And eventually, cities.

But what also came with knowledge was greed.

The Creator left them with one final word of caution. "Do not let this greed overtake you, or it will be your downfall just like the humans before you".

And then, they were left to their own devices...

The creatures who were given the gift of knowledge soon became known as TrueBloods. The TrueBloods lived independently for a long time, but often clashed over land and resources. Thus, the seven Guardians were put in place to rule over all the creatures.

The Guardians knew their original lifespan had been extended well past their normal years. However, they also knew they were not immortal. In order to preserve their powers, when the first Guardian was near death, he summoned the remains of his powers and fused them into an orb by his side.

The orb was then placed in a hidden location, where later, another found it during his Seven. Absorbing its powers, the new Guardian was created.
