I woke up with my eyes red and swelled. We medical students could get off from college no our fat books on Sunday. But today, I had to meet a new guy, under Prishu's pressure according to whom I haven't still moved on. I got to remove my round wire-rim glasses and wear sunglasses to hide the swollen eyes of mine.

Prishu chose my dress and made my hair coz she knew if I were to be left on my own, I would leave in my messiest look.

I approached the cafeteria and seated inside.

Shivu and I were schoolmates. My first opinion about him was a rude weird guy. He had Dark undistinguished looks according to Prishu but for me, he was bit hot at looks and his brown eyes caught me at first sight. I still didn't like his rude silent gesture.

That day is still as fresh in my mind. The half-yearly examinations were upon the head for which the attendance in school was merely reduced. I hated staying at home coz it caused a lot of boredom to me, and getting your doubts clear from teachers is better than from a YouTube lecture.

It was an activity period and I headed towards our chemistry laboratory to consult our chemistry teacher in order to learn the covalent bonds puzzling up my mind. I opened the gate to find only Shivu sitting there arranging some files for the teacher.

" Prabha ma'am!! Isn't she here ", I asked.

no, she's on leave. Something important??", he enquired.

"Just some doubts who won't be able to be cleared", was my reply.

Can I have a look? He asked and took my chemistry book from me. I hesitated at once. "OHH covalent bonds, such a basic topic of organic chemistry ", he stated, sat down on the experiment table and started explaining to me. He was a topper engineering science student, so I could make sure he was explaining to me the right things.

In all his explanation he didn't even look away from my eyes. The topic finally ended at a triple bond. He jumped from the table and handed me the book.

" Thank you, sir!", I stated.

" Sir?? I am Ashish Kumar, and everyone calls me Shiv, I don't think any of my names include sir", He laughed

I looked at him and smiled. " I am Sonakshi Trivedi".

"Hope to meet you again", he smiled at me.
Again!!
Didn't he hated me after that basket ball match!!
Yeah! Boys boast around calling girls most complicated creature to understand but they  themselves are even more complicated.

"Still confused??", he spoke up.

Did i spoke it up louder?? I recollected all my thoughts still being in a confused state of mind.

"About what??", I enquired with confusion all occupied over my facial expression.
"Covalent bonds! ", he seemed amused.
"Yeah! I am clear about that now", I said.
"Then confused about what!??" he asked with one of his eyebrows raised at me and an evil smirk he was wearing on his face.

Damn!! This is going to kill me enough to show up with a blush I couldn't afford to have.

"N.. Nothing.. Mmm.. Bye", I mumbled and left the laboratory.
I wondered if i looked like a mess.

" Ma'am May I fetch you something ??" somebody interrupted the course of my memories I was lost in looking towards a school picture of me and Shivu with my arms around him. "No please I am waiting for someone", I replied.

That day I was feeling like a man alone on an island left to survive without any friends. I wasn't too good at socializing and merely had a few people I could talk all day with no hesitation.

And the worst thing was none of those people were present today. The day seemed to be so long until the recess approached.

I was having my lunch in the canteen all alone. The canteen even when it was so crowded, seemed to me like a lonely desert till moment a person came and sat beside me and asked,

"Are you eating all alone?"

I gave an irritated smile and replied," Nah! There are about a hundred people, all eating in the same canteen where I am."

" Okay!! Miss basketball I didn't intend to offend you"

" Better"

"can we roam around in school after you finish?"

. And soon we were roaming around the campus laughing and giggling and knowing more about each other. And that is how it became a part of our everyday recess schedule.

" Am I the fortunate person you are here waiting for.", he said.

I looked above to notice a tall, and handsome man stating those words to me. Instead of standing up and greeting him, I stayed too rude to even say " Nice to meet you!".
