I hesitated, the last time I told someone this I was sent away.
I couldn't speak so I just showed him my wrists. He had a look of shock on his face, then I saw he knew there was a reason that I did this other than the fact that I was depressed
"I-I was found out that-" i started to say
"It's okay you can tell me"He said
I held up one finger and went out to get my wallet then came back and pulled out a picture of a baby, my baby.

"wait I don't understand- oh" he said
"This is Bailey, my daughter" I said
He handed the picture back to me and I told him what lead up to me getting pregnant.
Long story short, I met this guy at a party we hooked up, banged a few times and I got pregnant. But the catch was, he was really abusive and since I used to have a drug history and somehow he didn't I was only allowed to visit her so she was currently living with him.
I had quit doing the hard core drugs like meth and coke when I found out I was pregnant and I had been clean ever since, well clean in the sense that I wasn't doing any drugs that could kill you.
I also told him that I was scared for my daughters safety because when I had gone over to visit her she had huge bruises on her body, and yet the cops won't do anything about it they just said that those were probably just something that was a result of being an energetic baby.
I still called bullshit on that because even though she was a wiggly baby she couldn't even crawl yet, she was only 2 months old and the bruises were way to big to have just been an accident.
"we need to go to the court tomorrow and fight for your baby!" Nick said
"would you help me please, wait but if I do win where would she be able to stay? my parents won't let her stay there and... "I started to say but was cut off by the panic that was rising slowly
"I'm sure Adi will want to hear me out... I am assuming that's why your stealing is so you can provide for your baby and once he hears why then he'll forgive me and you guys could stay there" Nick said
"Or I could go return the stuff right now and explain to Tal why I did what I did, he seems like a very forgiving person.
"Do you think he'll still be up?" He asked
"Probably I just hope he didn't tell Adi" I said
"I doubt he did, Adi goes to sleep pretty early so I doubt he would still be up" Nick said and pulled out his phone texted someone quickly then put his phone down.
"Wait! you came in the back door I don't think Tal even saw you" I said
"let me text him and just say something.. Hey...you still up" He said saying what he was typing
