I woke up to find myself in a dark room, my head was resting on something soft but muscular, I lifted my head and saw Nick sleeping. We must have been cuddling before I fell asleep, I laid my head back down and tried to fall back asleep.

I woke up to a knock on the door, I moved quickly forgetting that I was still wrapped in Nick's arms, I stopped and carefully got out of bed. Thankfully my spastic movement didn't wake Nick up, I rubbed my eyes and yawned as I walked to the door and answered it.
Alexis was standing on the other side holding a bag of clothes, I hadn't asked her to bring me stuff... at least not that I know of anyways
"You are a life saver" I said
"I know oh and all your regular shorts were dirty so I just grabbed what was clean" She said and I had a feeling that wasn't the case
"So how long are you going to be staying-" she started to say but was cut off by my phone ringing
I grabbed it off the kitchen table and answered it.
"Hello?" I said
"Hi are you ms. y/l/n daughter of Eve and Alex?" A guy on the other end asked
"Yes why?" I asked
"Well your parents were caught with 1 kilo of coke, 2 pounds of crack, and a few packages of marijuana they are going away for a long time, we just thought you would like to know" The guy said
"Really? Okay thank you"I said
"They did tell me to tell you that, 'We know you are at Nick's even though we told you not to, we are so done with you, we should have gotten an abortion when we had the chance but we decided not to because we thought that it might be fun raising a baby, but no instead we got a drug dealing, pot smoking little fuckgirl with a daughter she left with an abusive drug addict. your just a dumb ass bitch who is going to end up dead and we hope that's the case' if there is anything you want to tell us about them like if they were abusive or you were neglected at all feel free to tell me now" He said
"Um-they hit me a lot like punching and kicking, shoving, slapping you know those kinds of things"I said
"any neglect?" The officer asked, it finally dawned on me that he was an officer
"No... wait yes um if I didn't do something they wouldn't let me eat sometimes for days on end" I said
I saw Nick walking out rubbing his eyes, I mouthed police then parents and he understood. I put the phone on speaker and let Nick listen too
"How long would they starve you for?" he asked
"the longest time was like 5 days" I said
"alright any questions?" He asked
"um hold on a second" I said and covered the mouth piece and asked Nick if he wanted to hear what my parents said
He nodded
"Okay can you please repeat what Mrs. Y/L/N and Mr.Y/L/N said" I asked
"yeah they told me to tell you ' 'We know you are at Nick's even though we told you not to, we are so done with you, we should have gotten an abortion when we had the chance but we decided not to because we thought that it might be fun raising a baby, but no instead we got a drug dealing, pot smoking little fuckgirl with a daughter she left with an abusive druggie your just a dumb ass bitch who is going to end up dead' oh and would you like to send them a message?" he asked
I saw a look of shock on Nick's face which turned into rage I laid a hand on his leg and he seemed to calm down, he placed his hand on mine and continued to listen
"yeah tell them that 'I had no choice in leaving Bailey with my ex, I wouldn't have had to leave her with him if you guys had just let her stay at the house, have fun in jail fuckers' that's all" I said
"Thank you for your cooperation, are you over 18?" He asked
"Yes I'm 20 why?" I asked
"I needed to know just in case you were underage, we would have to arrange something for you so you aren't living alone" he said
"Thank you" I said
"No problem have a good day" he said
"bye" I said and hung up
"'Bout damn time" Alexis said
"Right, I need to go change and we need to head down to the court" I said
"Okay-" Nick started to say but was interrupted by my phone
I looked at the caller I.D: Jackass
I answered it and braced myself for whatever it was he wanted
"Come get your fucking kid, I can't take it anymore, she cries nonstop I haven't gotten any sleep now come get her or I will kill her" he said
"I'll be there, you will need to fill out paperwork saying that she is mine now and that I have been clean for more than a year" I said
"Way ahead of you, I already sent the papers in just come get this little shit out of my house!' He said
I hung up and told Nick and Alexis what had happened
"Really? that's amazing! let's go come on!!" Alexis said I opened the bag quickly and pulled out a pair of spandex shorts and got my shoes on as quickly as I could thank god Alexis brought my converse with her

Nick drove and I gave direction, we finally pulled into the driveway and I took a deep breath, calmed myself down and got out.
"should we go with you?" Nick asked
"No it's okay he'll probably just hand me the baby and the clothes and slam the door" I said
"let Nick go with you" Alexis said
"Okay, Nick do you want to grab the baby or the bags?" I asked
"Whichever is fine" he said
"okay bags it is" I said
I waited for Nick to get out then I looked to see Bailey's carseat on the porch along with her clothes, I rolled my eyes, typical.
I knocked on the door and a second later it opened
