Anthony.

Sitting in class looking at the empty seat next to me, I sat and tuned Mrs.French out thinking about Ana. Another day missed, and another boring day in class. Usually if Ana was here she'll be sitting in class cracking jokes. Mostly the jokes would be about Mrs.French and I'll be cracking up.

"Anthony...Anthony". In my thoughts I suddenly felt an hand on my shoulder. I popped up looking at my teacher.

"Yeah"?

"You don't hear me calling your name"?

"Nah... my bad".

"Well I'm going to need you to focus... Chapter 11 is a little more challenging then the previous chapters we did". Mrs.French said walking back to the board

She just didn't get it, I was the king at math. Nothing was that challenging to me, not in math.

As the class ended I texted Ana giving her tonight's homework. Chapter 11 22-60 even. Man I know she had a lot to catch up on.

I packed my books up heading to my next class, meeting my BestFriend Damien first.

"What's up" I said.

"Nothing... nigga there's a party at Draya house tomorrow".

"So you trying to slide or something"?

"Yeah, it starts at 10".

I laughed reading Ana message.

"What you laughing at"? Damien asked me.

"Ana".

"Ana who"?

"Harris".

"Ughh that hoe" Said Damien.

I Stopped my message I was typing to Ana and looked at Damien.

"Hoe"?

"Yeah".

If anything I knew Ana was far from a hoe. You barely would ever see her hugged up with anyone at school. Also I had heard Ana was somewhat hard to get so Damien was wrong. "Naw I think you talking about a different Ana".

"Nope I only know one Ana Harris, the bad one but she a hoe man".

"A hoe how"?

"You haven't heard about her and 16th street"?

I knew 16th street was where girls went and stood on the street to sell their bodies for money. "Naw and it don't really sound like Ana".

"Ok you defending her what y'all got going on nigga... and yeah well I heard. Theres been people who passed 16th street saying that they saw her. A lot is still iffy about it because it be dark and I guess she only works late so no telling who they really saw. But, people are saying it's Ana".

I knew this was a lie, they couldn't have saw the beautiful Ana selling her body. At this age and this young? Then again it happens when your a lot younger then Ana. Truth is I didn't want to believe it and I'm not. "Mmm well who knows". I said sending Ana the message I finished.

Parting ways with Damien I told him I'll catch him at break. I had enough of him for the 7 minute walk, to be honest.
