Chapter Three
I walked into the studio with a smirk on my face and sunglasses covering my eyes. The past couple of days had been interesting to say the least. My hand was still a little sore from punching out Selena's fuckboy of an ex boyfriend, but the fact that we had sex yet again, this time in the dressing room of a lingerie store made the entire thing worth it. Not to mention the fact that I made use of a disposable camera I impulsively bought at a gas station. She was better than cocaine, and I really fucking enjoyed cocaine.
"Wow. Look at you." Nick grinned. "Showing up for work two days in row. Someone needs to make a note of this. I think it's a Demi Lovato world record."
"Fuck off!" I laughed as I sat in chair across from him.
"Sooooo....." He trailed off. "Are we actually doing this?" He asked. "Are we working together again?"
"Yeah." I nodded. "I think we are. Let's not make a deal about it. It is what it is."
"Alright." He agreed. "I can do that."
"Awesome." I said awkwardly.
We both started laughing. It was an insanely awkward moment and we both knew it. Our friendship had been on hiatus as of late. Nick and I spoke the same language musically so hopefully that would help us work out our issues.
"I've got an idea for a song." I grinned.
"What's up with you lately?" He asked curiously. "You got a new muse?"
"Maybe." I shrugged.
"Come on." Nick pushed. "What's her name?"
Before we could get any further, my manager Phil walked in. He looked like he was about to go into cardiac arrest.
"What is this?" He asked as he crossed his arms. I noticed he was holding a magazine in his hands.
"What are you talking about?"
"This." He said as he tossed the magazine on the table.
I picked it up and started laughing at the headline. Rockstar Parties With College Girls.
"This is amazing." I said with a smirk. "Where do they come up with this shit?"
"There's pictures of you at a fucking frat house doing cocaine." He said sharply. "Off of college girls!"
"And?" I questioned raising an eyebrow.
"Who were those girls you had all over you?" He questioned.
I shrugged in response. "Who knows."
"I'm this close to quitting." He threatened.
"Phil relax. It was nothing." I sighed.
"What did you do to your hand?" He questioned once he noticed my scraped and bruised knuckles.
"I punched some douche that needed a lesson in manners." I said as I high fived Nick.
"This is fan-fucking-tastic." Phil muttered as he shook his head. "You do realize this is a mess right? This could come bite you in the ass."
"Don't threatened me with a good time." I smiled.
"You're on thin ice with the label right now." He warned. "Lay low for a bit. Focus on your music." He added before leaving me with Nick.
"Finally." Nick chuckled. "That guy is annoying." He added as he shook his head.
"And people wonder why I drink excessively." I joked.
"Anyway." Nick grinned. "What's her name?" He asked referring to Selena.
