My New Family (Upcurch Story)

Chapter 5

-River-

When I woke, I woke to a letter:

Ri,

Sorry I am not there when you where getting this. I will miss you. Stay strong for the baby and mostly for me so when I come back I can see you both.

Ares

I sighed softly getting up and dressed into my plain red tank top and black leggings; I went through dad's youtube channel when I found a song, 'Loveles' by dad and Robert James. I blasted it in my room as I cleaned up a little bit. I started to pick up all my clothes putting them in the basket. My mind started to wonder a bit before someone knocked on my door. "It's open!" I yelled as my dad and Uncle came in. I smiled softly at them, "Ready for baby shopping?" I nodded excitedly, "Yeah I'm ready." they just smiled a bit and headed out. 

I seen Ares left his hoodie, SCORE!!! I slipped it on it barely fit but meh, I headed out grabbing my phone, shutting the Bluetooth off and got to dad's truck. "Who is Amber?" my dad asked as I shrugged. "No Idea probably someone that Ares is with cause god knows he will be loyal." I giggled. "He has never been loyal due to his parents but eh what can I say I guess I wouldn't be either. Though its different his situation and mine. His parents may have forced this on us but he had his freedom with strict rules but still he had freedom. From what I know he has been with a lot of girls and has two babies both little girls." I told them. "What..." "My parents said they knew they would have a boy with me hence why i'm pregnant." Dad scoffed Austin rolled his eyes. 

We finally got to town when we seen Ares with some chick, I held my laughter in when I rolled down the window and yelled,  "YEAH BUDDY GET IT IN!!!!!!!!!!!" I heard my dad and uncle laugh hard that they had to stop. "The hell was that?" Austin asked as I smiled at him. "That my friends is how you get another woman angry. In 3...2....1...." my phone rang as I smiled putting it on speaker. "Yellow!" I said as he huffed. "What the fuck was that?" Ares asked angry. "I'm sorry I thought you were gonna get it in buddy!" he got silent. "Not anymore..." I smirked. "Next time don't make shit obvious. Even dad knew...I know you can't stay loyal but at least be there for our child when he is born. If you don't my Pa will bring you to court and I get that money you don't have. Yeah?" I asked making him huff, Dad started going again. "Well I have to go baby shopping and all." I told him as he groaned. "Bye!" I giggled making him angry. "WHy are you so damn Happy River Emma Upchurch!" I hung up. "Asshole." 

When we finally got the things that we had needed the crib, changing station, etc. we headed back to get the room ready. When we got back I seen that grandma hand Lunch ready. I smiled hugely as I ran over there leaving dad and uncle austin in the dust. 

-Skipping to birth-

I felt something wet down my leg, "Grandma!" I screamed as I walked out of the living room. "Yeah. OH shit!" She said as she yelled at uncle Austin he was grabbing my go bag and grandma was calling dad since he left for tour like a day ago. "Uncle Austin I can't have the baby yet." I sobbed. "Daddy has to be in the room with me!" he sighed softly kissing my head. "I'm sorry baby but looks like it will have to be back up plan time." I nodded sadly. We got into the truck eventually. We already had the carseat in the car. When we finally made it to the hospital I had gotten into my birthing room. Grandma was sending texts to dad making sure he was up to date while Uncle Austin handed me my phone. 

Me: Dad...I can't do this without you...

Dad: Yes you can but the guys and I are coming as fast as we can. I love you daughter.

Me: I love you too dad. I am very thankful you took me in and I am your duaghter.

Dad: I love you too, now focus on that baby!

I sighed softly, the nurse came in to check to see how dialated I was, I groaned, "Your at a 3, so It will be a bit hun." I nodded a little resting back between the contractions and being bored I was asleep for most. When it was finally time dad still wasnt here so Uncle Austin and grandma where in the room with me. It was hard...birth was but when I finally heard the cry of my son I wanted to see him. Uncle Austin had cut the cord and the nurse handed me my son. When I had gotten him his name just came to me. Jaxon Gunner Upchurch." Grandma and Uncle Austin smiled at me. "What about the father?" grandma asked me when the nurse took him away from me. "His father can fight me in court for all I care. When I found out that letter was a lie that he and that chick made up I was mad but fuggum!" they laughed. 

The nurse asked me a couple questions like if the father was going to be in the picture  I said Hell no! I answered the rest of the questions.
