Hanako watched as you stared into one of the flowers that were planted by the gardening club, your face having an unreadable expression. After Yashiro left to go home, he wanted to take you back to the garden since you seemed to enjoy them. With his hands in his pocket, he simply stood at your side while you held onto a flower, constantly humming a song as your fingers glided across the individual petals. "You will be happy. . . because despite all the hardships. . . You stood strong. . . "

He won't deny that you look the most beautiful next to the flowers. It wasn't that you made the flowers pretty, they made you look even more heavenly each time you were with them. Hanako closed his eyes as he listened to you sing softly to yourself. To him, this might just be a way to cope with your existence as a spirit. He often wonders who you are singing to if this song was truly for someone you cared about. Perhaps you were looking for someone.

You hummed a short tune to yourself as you started to cut the stems off of your flowers. Your white kimono keeping your skin warm from the cold environment. You stared deeply into the flower's many petals and gently pinched them. They were plum blossoms and you enjoyed growing them in your garden. You were lucky that your mother decided to let you grow and take care of them, considering that your favorite outfit was completely white, she was worried about the stains that may come to your elegant gown.

"You've grown so much." You giggled as you picked one up to smell them, "I'm happy that I have you."

The moment was short-lived as the woman of your household walked closer to you. Her long (h/c) hair tied neatly into a bun with several expensive accessories that decorated her hair. Her kimono had an intricate flower design that her mother wears often. She had red lipstick and a smile on her face, she looked extremely excited to tell some sort of news.

"(Y/n). We found a husband for you." You gasped and dropped your flower, spinning around to face your mother.

"What do you mean?" Your mother shook her head at the flower that had fallen, her smile still remaining on her face.

She picked it up with her long nails and tucked a strand of hair behind your ears, "Someone offered to take you as their bride, and we want to share this news to you." The flower was planted in her hair and her mother chuckled in happiness.

"B-But. . . What about my choice? Do I not have a say?" Your voice cracked as your nails dug into your hands, a deep frown and scared expression painted across your face. "Why am I getting married like this?!"

"(Y/n). . . You know that your beauty is unmatched in this village. That's why we decided to choose your husband." You scowled and glared at your mother.

"I never said I wanted to be married! I want to make my own decisions!"

Your mother's face darkened in disappointment, "What do you mean? You're a woman, aren't you?! You should be good enough to marry." She grabbed onto your hand forcefully and pulled you closer to her face, "If you can't marry then what's the point of being a woman in the (L/n) clan!" You tried to pull your hand away from her but she tightened.

"I'm only a child!" You argued.

"Don't you dare give me that excuse when we gave you everything!" Your mother spat at you in frustration, "Your wedding is within the next week, you're meeting your husband whether you like it or not."
