Danger Afoot

Chapter 7

Y/N's P.O.V.

After Harry and I got back to the ship (and after quite a long goodbye) I started making my way back to my house. I had thought about staying with Uma on her ship a few more days, but I had so much to tell my parents.

I was never scared of walking around the Isle by myself before, but something seemed off this evening. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something in the air felt different.

Shrugging my shoulders, as if to remove some of my fears, I started walking from the docks and into the heart of the Isle, towards my house.

I walked past Ursula's, and past the shadier allies where Uma, Gil, Harry, and I usually frequented. As I made the corner around one of the particularly shady shops, I was suddenly ambushed by four guys, almost the size of mountains.

I couldn't see much before I was suddenly gagged and blindfolded. I attempted to struggle and wiggle myself free, but to no avail. I felt a sharp pain on the side of my left temple, and suddenly the world faded to black....

Harry's P.O.V.

A few days later, I was up bright and early. I had the most amazing dream last night about Y/N and now, I couldn't stop smiling.

We were older, I'm not sure how old, but older nonetheless. No longer were we the awkward, gangly teenagers, but now we were mature, sophisticated adults (well, Y/N more sophisticated than I probably would ever be). We were so in love and enamored with one another, much like we are currently, but this time there was something different.

This time, in my dream, we were both wearing matching golden bands on our left hands, and in addition to that, Y/N also had a glittering emerald on a delicate silver band. I have no idea how I could've possibly gotten the money to get that for her, but I hope and pray that I didn't steal it, for her sake.

We weren't on the Isle either, perhaps we were in Auradon, but I wasn't quite sure.

The major difference though, was the obviously swollen belly of Y/N; the swollen belly of prgnancy.

My hands were on her stomach, and I was just talking to our baby. Y/N had her hands on my head, carding her fingers through my hair lovingly, smiling down at me with such affection and love.

I'm not sure how long I stayed and watched us in our dream, but finally it had to end and I was awoken to the soft swaying of the ship as rays of early morning light filtered through the grimy window.

Stretching my long limbs out on my short bunk, I tried in vain to wake up, the last little bit of sleep clinging to my eyes and trying to lure me back into its inky depths. Once I finally deemed myself awake enough, I rolled out of bed and changed into my outfit for the day, the same general outfit that I usually wore.

I wandered down the halls of the ship towards Gil's room and proceeded to knock on the door. When I opened it, Gil was already gone for the day.

"Hmm that's weird, Gil's never been much of an early riser."

Shaking my head, I wandered my way up the stairs and onto the deck of the ship. While I was walking up there, my mind kept wandering to thoughts of Y/N. I hadn't seen her in a few days, but I wasn't too worried: she did have a lot to catch her parents up on.

I noticed something was off immediately when I got to the deck.

"Ah finally, there he is." I heard a low voice say.

"Uhh, what?" I asked confused, scanning the mass of people trying to decide who addressed me.

"Where's my daughter Hook, and don't you dare even think about lying to me young man!"

I suddenly looked up, and there, leaning over me, was none other than Y/N's father: Hades.

I suddenly gulped and took a shaky breath.

"I don't know sir. Uh, that is ta' say, I haven't seen her since our date on Thursday."

"You mean to tell me that nobody has seen my daughter since Thursday?! It's Monday! You, you were the last person to see her! Boy, if I ever get my hands on you-"

He started to step closer to me, reaching out with his hand when suddenly he was stopped by a hand on his bicep.

I looked and there was Persephone, attempting to soothe her seething husband.

"Darling, relax. I'm sure Harry means no harm. Didn't you hear him? The last time he saw Y/N.\, they were on a date. This is wonderful news that should be celebrated. Y/N would never forgive you if you hurt him." Persephone scolded.

Hades growled and gave me one last glare before relaxing and agreeing with his wife.

"You're right... you always are Kore." Hades sighed.

I relaxed somewhat and straightened my posture before addressing Hades again.

"So you're saying she's missing?"

"We haven't seen her since Thursday and Uma here tells me that you guys haven't seen her since then either." Hades mused.

"Gods this is all my fault! If I had just convinced her ta' let me walk 'er home, none 'a this would've happened!"

"Please try not to beat yourself up, Harry-" Persephone soothed "-What's done is done. Right now, we just need to focus on finding her and getting her back to us safely."

"Gods I 'ope she's okay... ma bonnie princess."

I shook my head to clear away the tears that were threatening to spill from my eyes as Uma and Gil stepped forward and each laid a hand on my arm in comfort.

Uma looked me in the eye, a brave front on her face.

"We'll find her Harry. That's a promise."

Well, that took a bit of a dark turn! What do you guys think of this new direction? We'll get to see a bit of Harry as a knight in shining armor as our dear reader (you) loves to call him. I promise that this won't get too dark or graphic, but I wanted to add a bit of a plot in to break up the usual fluffiness.

A lot of you are probably wondering why I vanished for so long, and frankly you have a right to know why.

As some of you may know, I am a freshman in college studying mechanical engineering. We just started a new semester so the stress hasn't fully hit me yet. Last semester, I was in a very bad rooming situation to the point where I did not feel safe to even be there. I'm fine. I am in a new room now and it's only been a few weeks and my new roommates and I are already best friends.

I will try to keep updating more often, but I can't set a strict schedule or anything because it all comes down to whenever I have time.

I also do not have a plan for this story, I just start writing and let the ideas flow as I write, so if there are any inconsistencies (which I promise I try to catch as many as possible) please bear with me.

Anyways, that's enough of a rant.
