Cio smiled and laughed as his son talked about the things his Auntie Kate and his Papa did that weekend. He was eating his chocolate bar as they walked through the town.
She asked Ben and Kate if she could have the day with him. They and also added that he can stay the night.
She was happy.
It was his last day before leaving Japan but wasn't sad, she was actually delighted. Finally, his son would live a normal and easy happy life. He won't be a servant or a worker but someone he wished to be when he grew up.
A soldier. Brave and righteous like his father.
As the ship sailed away, leaving her at the shore. She waved one last time, with a smile and laughed in the wind.
Finally, she can now leave happy and reassured.
